  1. Hi All,

Its sold out and I heard that it is not on TV? and assume as its the cup, it will not be on Robins TV !

Anyone know how I can watch or stream it, happy to pay a subscription, but I just would prefer not to be scrambling around looking for dodgy steams that drop in and out and have tonnes of adverts for even more dodgy websites?

Thanks in advance for any help given (BTW - yes I am a season ticker holder, but also an exile away from City and cannot make it to the game!)

Johnson who moved the best midfielder in the championship to full back to accommodate his boy in that final which they deserved to win unfortunately.

well said and bang on the money..... I loved Gary Johnson and he gave me some of my greatest moments following city for the last 35 years, but that decision on the day was unforgivable and disgraceful... total nepotism. From the moment LJ came on the game was lost and as you say, Marv was completely wasted back there. We had much better defenders on the bench and if there was no family connection they would have come on to replace Orr, but Daddy had to somehow get his son on the pitch that day.... the rest is history.

Having Lez/dog etc etc on there does them no favour. I was quite surprised to see what he looked like, not the image I had!

Don't agree on the Lez comments, he certainly knows his football and for me is normally "bang on the money" with his views and comments. He strengthens the already excellent Podcast. Its all about opinions and there are plenty of them on this podcast and I think everyone is entitled to change their opinion as time goes by and more info or evidence comes to light...

I am also enjoying the match previews you have started, keep up the good work chaps, it really adds something to following city.

Fairly predictable interview really. Crap interviewer i thought - like a nervous Labrador.

On the Alex Scott money, one of JL's comments hinted it was not received in one payment. I know this is fairly common, but does anyone know what the actual terms where ?

He is not really an interviewer, but by all accounts he is a brilliant Radio Host and from what I hear a really nice guy who loves our City (place and club!)... They are not going to get Paxman in for it really...

  5. I really think the wider fan base are not as bothered as many of the posters on here about NP. I am a bit sad he is gone myself, but will be 100% behind the lads Saturday. and will not be having a go at the owners for doing what they see as the right thing for our club!

I am assuming 99.9% of fans want the team to do well, regardless of who the gaffer is.

    Fair enough..

One question tho.. Does this “silky smooth” material feel like modern day football shirt material to you?

no it does not, the material may have a silky feel to the outside, but my overall impression is its poor (cheap) quality, not designed for any form of sport and is not at all breathable and you will sweat in it easily. The collar may look nice, but on my 2xl shirt its very tight and uncomfortable around my neck (I solved this problem by cutting a slit in the front of the collar).

Big thumbs up for the look, and I see Hummel are letting down other clubs now, so for me lets keep the faith and hope for better materials to be used in future.

    What Pearson could have said:

" We are in delicate final talks with Bournemouth and given that there isn't huge interest in Alex- the club needs to cash in because we need the funds and the risk of missing out/AS getting a major injury like Conway, Atkinson/Benarous is greater than the benefit of keeping him another few months. We have little choice to sell our best players and hopefully we will be empowered to make some signings with such a big price agreed and we also hope that no one will try to pull our pants down on any new signings"

Alternatively he could have just deflected, remained professional and just said" He's got a minor injury".

Your post, feels to me like a like a very large hammer, crashing down directly over the nails head....... well done (I wish I had written it!)

  8. He just said he "had a knock in training" and would not be playing. That's almost certainly all true! everyone gets a "knock" in every training session..

The facts are the club was not willing to risk real injury with so much money on the line is also almost certainly true, but the club and NP probably cannot say that without "outrage" on here and elsewhere....

Note the difference to how NP reported AW's injury, lots of back ground and technical info on it....

  9. I know Gary Johnson said that you needed 10 games to work out roughly where you were, but looking at the bottom three (Huddersfield, Rotherham and QPR). I cannot help but think that it could be worth a small bet on those three teams still being in the bottom come the end of the season.

As for City, I think a pretty lackluster 14 position maybe a likely or optimistic shout.

I'm in row 19 too and I  have been know to get a little "moist" at times.?

you will get wet down there, Tip: don't tell ANYONE, but if it gets wet sneak out and up to one of the covered stands where you will find loads of empty seats of season ticket holders who only go to a few games or are away on holiday...

    Thanks for the positive feedback.

who was "flashy on You Tube"?

One of them had big hair, lots of "fanboys", very little productivity or end product, but because (IMHO) of where he came from and look + a good PR side was given far more credit then deserved. The fanboys are the OSIB lads (love um as I do!) rather then Dave F (who's judgement I respect and trust, but I don't agree with on this individual)

Jay de Silva was another (great first touch, lovely close control), but exploited so many times because of his height (OMG I am sounding like Mr Gay!) and how many times did he neatly get into a good position going forward, only for it all to fizzle out, slow down by him stopping, coming back on himself, playing it sideways to someone marked or delivering a cross to the far corner flag? I would be more forgiving if he came from our academy, but he was a big money transfer (that bit is not his fault I accept).

Both these two will still be able to produce a decent length YouTube video with all their best bits that will make them look world class - but I have watched every minute they have played for us home and away and when judged over the whole piece, we are well rid of both.

  12. great listen again guys, thank you for continuing to do this.

rightly commented that the oppo's have not been the strongest, but team are all looking sharp enough now.

Really tough to predict this year, agree that the league is going to be tougher then last year, but we look to have a better squadaud and I think we have got rid of a few of the "high on flashy YouTube moments and low on result/productivity" players. So I am going a ballsy 6th spot (with no money on it) and I think its just as likely to be anywhere above the bottom 3 and below the auto's...

May i ask if that was Bristol event that was covered on the 3 peaps podcast?   He is a shadow of his former self, and a sad reflection of what  addiction causes?.   I thought Channel 4 dragging him in front of the camera's last night was unnecessary, sad and pointless.

I thought 3 Peaps covered the event carefully and with the affection that all us footy fans of the Euro 96 era have for Gaza. I too would love to meet Gaza and tell him to his face how much joy he gave us all back then with his god given talent. Alas no matter how much love and care you give an individual with an addiction, only they can conquer it and its bloody tough to do as I know personally.

My dads addiction to drink got him in the end and not before it all but destroyed the life of my mum and my siblings as we grew up. I still love my dad and the memories I have of him sober, in every other way he was an amazing man, but the addiction ruined him and our lives and was the death of him ultimately. I feel for Gaza, but its a battle that looks to have only one ending sadly.

  14. I understand the contract contains a clause that allows the club to deduct £500 for every time he kicks it into touch!...

But as the OP says 100% worth a new deal, getting better every game, starting to command the box, but needs to push on further to be a "top six" type goalkeeper for me.
