  1. I think Chanel Cresswell may be an actress in the same way that I'm a footballer.
  2. It's around 13-14 IN contract and 14-15 OUT of contract at a rough estimate. There have been so many players in/out the last couple of seasons that it's more or less impossible to say for sure. Still players like Amadou Bakayoko on the books at present having spent the whole season at Dundee. At least one, David Davies genuinely thought to be missing / lost but apparently sadly long-term ill, not injured. Very few with any re-sale value at all.
  3. Aden Flint IIRC. They or their wives had some sort of spat?
  4. No one in the NL will be paying anywhere near what FGR are paying in L2 this season. If we take the recently published payments to Agents as a rough guide, only Wrexham paid more, FGR paid £260,000. Highest in the NL was Oldham at £80,000. Just depends on how much Dale Vince wants to continue chucking money at the problem and how difficult it will be to get existing players off the payroll. There's around 30 in the 1st team squad!
  5. Top 6 at least L2 budget this season. I think increasing that by 50% for National League would be insane but this is Dale Vince. A fool and his money are easily parted. Their biggest problem will be getting rid of the vast majority of overpaid and disinterested players.
  6. The worrying thing is that Fritzl doesn't look out of place on that bus.
  7. "The Kuwaiti equivalent of Jon Lansdown"! He shall henceforth now be known as Abdulatif Al-Lansdown.
  8. Yeah that was the first thing I thought too. Probably a smart move if there was a NDA as there is no way he was keeping his trap shut for year or more. Could now have saved themselves paying his salary for 9 months there. Mind you this is Bristol Rovers, so who knows what might have been put in place or whethervit's 'watertight'. All good entertainment anyway.
  9. There's shambles and there's Bristol Rovers (and Swindon Town to be fair).
  10. Shows that you can be relegated with 50pts even with only 2 down. Even this season only Rotherham currently have less than a point per game in the Championship. So I think it could be 48-50 points needed to stay up. It will be great to watch especially from a place of safety. Could easily be 6-7 teams involved on the last day.
  11. I really don't want to think about that, especially as someone said the 'concourse' looks like a prison...
  12. Yep that's been mentioned a few times already and it rings true but it could be added that also Preston always finish above Bristol City!

Hmm... Given recent news I'm not sure Leicester will be signing too many players in the net year or so. Palace would be a good fit.
  14. Sainsbury's more like, Aldi would be Bristol Rovers
  15. Surely that's them basically admitting they screwed up in plain text on official HMRC documentation. Not very clever, would have been better saying nothing because HMRC themselves don't care how much they've spent as long as they pay the correct tax and vat.
  16. Likely to be bad they reckon. The new owners have already said current losses are 'unsustainable', which seems to have been swept under the carpet by the masses. Also won't include the new stand shambles which will have gone way over budget and will be in the 23-24 Accounts. and the new owners are supposed to be property developers, what could possible go wrong?
  17. Is that the 'Concourse' that their magnificent new stand was supposed to have?
  18. Yeah seemed like a no-brainer given his home location. A team with obvious attacking ability that looks like it needs 'firing up' and to get back to Home Park being a bit of fortress, like it was before Christmas.
  19. Would have thought it would be the perfect job for Warnock, he'd barely have to get out of bed!
  20. For those not 'down with the kids' I believe Drum&Bass is the one where the music's at 45RPM but the drums are at 78RPM.
  21. Barnsley also have an FA Cup win Don't forget one of Rovers major honours - National League runners up 2014-2015
  22. Yes logically if Vardy scores from his first chance then he doesn't get the second or third chances because the whole game from that point plays out completely differently.
  23. I went to the FGR Fans Forum on Tuesday because of Cotts. He was great and entertaining, effortlessly taking on a Q&A for 1 hour 40 mins with humour, honesty (sometimes brutal) insight and none of the clichés / coachspeak that we get these days. On the other hand Dale Vince didn't turn up at all. At 19:00 we were told he was 'held up and would be along later' but even though everyone was still there at 20:45, the meeting was ended. Conveniently avoiding having to answer any difficult questions about how he's messed up the last 2 years. Ironically his son Dane (FGR 'Director of Projects') stood in for him, very much in the style of Jon Lansdown.
  24. Remember him only too well. He was the beginning of the end for FGR and me. Hockaday alone for 4 years was bad enough but add Dale Vince to the equation and there was no coming back. He was out of his depth at FGR and was eventually sacked, so how the Leeds thing happened is still totally beyond me even now. The funny thing was at the time he went to Leeds, if you Googled him the number one result was a clip of apoplectic FGR supporters giving him severe verbal abuse at Grays Athletic after being relegated from the Conference (later reprieved after off the field shenanigans). It takes a lot to get FGR supporters even mildly annoyed.
  25. You know, like I said, you know, in terms of, like I said, outcomes, you know, that's the biggest bit.
