Warnock stays on.... Now gone again
Roadrunner replied to Dastardly and Muttley's topic in Football Chat
What a bloke, wish him all the best. -
At the moment the top six are, and how we got on. 1. Leicester City h ? a 0-1 2. Southampton h ? a 0-1 3 Leeds United h 0-1 a 1-2 4. Ipswich h 0-1 a ? 5. WBA h 0-0 a ? 6. Hull City h 3-2 a 1-1 So 8 matches played, did not score in 5 of them. 5 out of 24 points gained 5 matches lost by the odd goal. So you can see that we are not a top 6 team, but very close. We all know we need to score more goals. One more goal scored in each of these matches equals 9 extra points, and of course all those top six teams would have lost points. So close but so far away.

Max has made some great saves over the season. As somebody has said well thats he job thats what he is payed for. He has also cost us some points, it happens. Nigel dropped Bentley and gave Max his chance. I feel Max needs to be droped and Sefan given a run of games. then by the end of the season we could say we have two very good goalkeppers or we move them both on. Then spend some big money getting in the best goalkepper we can afford. I remember Brian Clough saying Peter Shilton gave Forest 20 points a season. All good sides are built from the back, so lets start with number 1.

Time for a change of goalkeeper. If he was a outfield player he would be droped. -

What became of David Noake? I saw the name Noakes and i sudenly remeber him. I think he had blonde hair. We signed him from Luton Town in 1961 and he left us a year latter for Trowbridge, after making 13 apperances for us.

Glad to see part of the deal includes a pre season friendly. Just up the other end of Hampshire for me.So looking forward to going there. Although last time i went up for aa pre season match there. Steve Coppell was not a happy bunny that day and we all remember what happend next.

Number 15 on the Millwall bench Joe Bryan. Hope he gets a good welcome if he comes on. But hope its not him with a last minute winner. I will go with a very tight 1-0 to us. -

The Lansdowns - What Do People Actually Want
Roadrunner replied to Tim Monaghan's topic in Football Chat
The nearest we have got to the Premership was in 2008 Steve was chairman at that point. In eight days time it will be 2024. During that period lots of other so called small teams have got their. Some only lasted one season, some longer. Yes we have a great stadium, training ground etc. So in the last 15 years we have never been close to going up. But Steve is still their or are you going to say Jon is. You may say but Steve has cleared a lot of our finantcial loses. I would say he is chairman so he is in charge of the club, so that is down to him. I do worry that if we get a new owner it could turn out to be a disaster. But if you dont take a risk from time to time we will never get their. -

What a typical Bristol City performance. Up and down al over the place. Take the lead go 1-2 down Hull much better than us. We win 3-2, no wonder my hair is grey. -

While we all know Sammy will score. Will it be the winner. I am going for 1-1. -
Can i be so bold as to offer my suggestion to the problem of slow strarts in the secound half. At half time NO senior management enters the dressing room, and we let the players sort it out at Huddersfield.
