  1. I've spoken with you a few times when you've dropped the programmes for us at Cadbury and always admired your honesty when talking of Hengrove and their 'limitations' (I mean that in a respectful manner). I think you'll be okay this season but will be tight finish for a few teams. If we're honest, everyone is stuck with guessing what the FA/leagues will do and whilst I'd expect at least 2 to go down, I guess there could be a good number of changes next season with the rumours you've heard. I still maintain that with the Prem division having at least the same amount of Cornish teams next season, it'll make for an interesting set of play off fixtures
  2. I don't think they are mate. Been very quiet on it and Div 1 are definitely* relegating 3 teams. That doesn't seem to me like they'll be losing 5 out of Div 1 but then restructuring steps 5 and 6. Plus you'd normally have loads of strong rumours from some good 'in the know' people by now. Could end up having all 4 teams in Div 1 play off trying to lose
  3. 'Hi can we have some shirts made up for stocking in club shop please' 'Yeah how many?' 'Dunno, 1 of each size should probably be enough for now'
  4. Hi Jerry, With the legacy number initiative just released, I have a relative who's pictured (Billy Pocock 219 - year 1919) which our family hasn't seen before. Do you know if there is anyway I can get a copy of this rather than just a screenshot? And any other photos of him the club may have? Thanks.
  5. Showing as 2 tickets left in the whole ground ?!
  6. Pearsey was always on borrowed time as soon as Llewellyn went in as assistant. The 2 statements they've put out are embarrassing

    England

I see a Liverpool and a Man City player pulled out of England duty today. Sure it's fully legitimate and they won't be available 1st game back after international break.
  8. Just a heads up, cash only. Not quite with the modern world to have card machines ?
  9. I did not know Holloway was Terry's SiL until now. But explains why he was chosen to open the old changing rooms when they were built ??
  10. Below the shoulders 'should' be a yellow, above 'should' be a red. Obviously if you punch someone below the shoulders it's likely to be classed as violent conduct and a red
  11. The Marc Bircham one I thought was brilliant
  12. Cheated. Bloke grabbed his shirt, he went down holding his face. That's cheating. If an opposition player did that to one of our lads on Saturday we'd call him a cheat.
  13. Read this the other day, very good article. I think media can do a lot more to help officials. The dissecting of each decision, slowed, in lots of angles (and sometimes some weird VR format), discussed in 24 hour programming, allows fans to see that a player was 2cms onside/offside (less so with VAR in top division), or there was the slightest bit of contact etc. I also think, if they're sticking with it, officials should be asked by VAR, 'did you see xxxxx or did you miss it so couldn't make a decision '. Therefore give them ability to review on screen but without guidance of 'I think you've made a mistake'. And don't slow thinks down with exception of freeze frame if needing to check where contact occurred. I enjoy the debate around decisions, but I don't feel they should be forensically dissected just to provoke emotions. I also feel, and I think it's mentioned in this article, VAR has given officials the option to not make a decision as it can be reviewed again. I'm not sure that's what it should be used for. Make the decision you feel is correct and then if VAR wants to intervene then deal with that if necessary. I've always said I would prefer technology to be used for factual decisions only and let officials make the decisions. Rant over ?
  14. That's about the same picture quality as the matches in sky red button
  15. Not sure this is the best way to link it but here's the thread I started a while ago. Still not managed to get to any games as mates are all useless ? https://www.otib.co.uk/index.php?/topic/213579-european-football-visits/
  16. Said this to my mate at the time. Ultimately City needed to defend it better (easy ah?!) but it was such a simple decision to get right and it was clear the assistant had no idea what was going on. The one on the Dolman stand was shocking all night and Marriner just seemed content to give any 50/50s to Man C and keep them happy for next time he refs them. I think the penalty could have been given but don't really have many complaints it wasnt. Just thought, ignoring that one decision, they were annoyingly poor without too much controversy (is that a contradiction?)
  17. I find it strange that we're not allowed to take weapons into the stadium (probably sensible) yet the coffee/pasty stand in the Dolman are allowed to serve pastys basically made out of cement.
  18. Yeah I thought it sounded decent having a song/chant that keeps going and doesn't fade out after a few seconds. Definitely helps create an atmosphere
  19. You may have already seen this by now but icymi
  20. Anyone know if its possible to 'upgrade' an u19 ticket to a full adult for tomorrow? Got an u19 that can't be used now so can give it to someone but he's very much older than 19 ?
