  1. I agree. There was one play where we broke quickly and the ball found its way to Sykes corner edge of box if he had a left foot he had all the time to find his spot...he doesn't so came back inside on his right, which allowed the defender to close him down. Second half brings Anis on, and continues to play Sykes on the left, baffling.
  2. Integrity is a key part of my profession, so it is definitely inbuilt. Also, I was actually out for a dog walk. Perfect timing if you like.
  3. I bumped into him as he was leaving the car park earlier. Had a bit of a chat and seems a nice chap, very articulate, and genuinely excited about the job. Didn't ask about back room staff. He asked if I could hold back on posting for a couple of hours, which I was happy to do. Oh, and was happy for me to take his pic (for proof, and all).
  4. Is it more about making the club a more attractive investment opportunity? Reducing the wage bill, will be reducing the losses.
  5. Always annoyed me that they are playing noughts and crosses, and they haven't put one in the middle. Everyone knows you start with the middle.
  6. I did watch the whole game, and no he did not fall over a lot. He was direct and strong, and had Williams squared him the ball instead of chipping back to the goalie, would have had a far simpler chance to open his scoring. One swallow does not a summer make, but Sam looked quality.
  7. It was definitely high on the list of reasons to move here ?
  8. Are you the chap that parks up in front of my house at 11am for a 3pm ko, then sits in his car until 2:55? ?
  9. But when the offence started (being offside) he was in the opposition half, running back into our half, where he then directly affected play. It is at that point where the kick is taken,
  10. Said the same to my mate at the time. Why not put some excitement in your voice for any City subs, and leave the sombre tone for the away team?
  11. Oh absolutely. Steve would not have done this on a whim. There will have been an option in place, that now outline planning had been granted, will have been triggered.
  12. Far to bright, and as you said @Tristan Cork from the South Stand, I can hardly make out the players at times. If you could mention turning of the lights in the stands as well, please.
  13. The new double yelllow lines are only in places where they have previously placed cones. However, those cones seemed little to discourage some people who think they are above everyone else, so go ahead and move them, thus blocking up junctions, causing traffic jams and making it difficult for people to cross safely.
  14. Yeah that junction was a nightmare, cars just abandoned. The council will shortly be putting double yellow lines around that coroner, and a number of other corners throughout Ashton, which will mean even few places to park, but will stop the sort of congestion seen on Saturday.
  15. But what do you do with the current season ticket holders in those blocks, who have no desire to stand for the whole match, and like having the same seat each game? You can't just turf them out of their seats.
  16. When we played them last year, people around me commented on how he was a proper, get you head stuck in, defender; someone we haven't had since Shaun Taylor. Last home game and the same people were saying a Shaun Taylor esque player was what we needed to get us out of this hole! I have to say what a great signing. We will probably never know the fee paid, or the salary he is on (why would we?) but he is EXACTLY the player we need.
