You are right, we do hear it every year. Though I do feel as though we’ve gone past a tipping point recently in some regards. TV deal makes it a non- starter for me. Which is fine, and I don’t blame clubs for signing it off as it’s worth a lot of money to them.

How do you square away the basic factual mistakes he made? Disclosing transfer fees ok “as he’s learning”?
