  1. @MarcusX I'm sat in one called The Park currently smashing one of their big breakfasts, which was like £5-something. Bloody love northern prices!! Seems alright, quiet this early obvs, but a couple of Wednesday fans here already so imagine you'd be better off if you're not wearing colours
  2. Haha, I was up here yesterday night enjoying the sunshine in a few beer gardens
  3. Arrived in Sheffield. Because the trams aren't running, the park and ride car parks are available for free. There is one about 10 minutes walk away from the ground on Middlewood Road.
  4. Except our wage bill alone exceeds our income each year already, so SL knows very well he needs to tread carefully with the financial health of the club. I don't see him going all out this summer as a result.
  5. I'm going! Should be a good day out. Hillsborough has seen better day but it can still be rocking on its day. Last time I went up there I saw Lee Peacock miss a penalty against (I think) Luke Wilkshire in goal!
  6. So did most posters on here so hard to hold that against him!
  7. It wasn't that difficult to move seats. I managed it for our group this year. The hard part was actually getting through on the phone lines to begin with. Once connected, the chap I spoke to in the ticket office couldn't have been more helpful in facilitating. Well published deadlines and plenty of ongoing reminders throughout the sales period. I find it hard to assign any blame to the club in this situation.

I disagree with this - to a point at least. You're right that nothing is won this early. But with West Brom coming up next I'd want the cushion of 3 points from the game against Wigan. Let's be fair - we're not catching the top 4 at this point, so if we're going to lose a game then against a team above us would be the one to lose. Essentially making that game as much of a freebie as you can get, and meaning we shouldn't concern ourselves with resting players against Wigan. Play the strongest team we can on Saturday and ensure we keep momentum going. Doing otherwise with half an eye on the following game is 1) disrespectful to Wigan and the teams battling around them, and 2) a recipe for getting beaten.
  9. Bolton. Blackpool, although to be fair that's more to do with their former chairman than anything else. Coventry, tenuously. Can't think of any others though; not exactly "littered" through the league's though.
  10. I thought for the first 60-70 minutes Leeds were easily the best team I've seen at Ashton Gate this season. As with most teams they started dropping deeper at 1-0 when full time was getting closer, and we could have made they pay for that. For all the pessimism around our recent form, we've lost close games to the two teams likely to get auto promotion, taken a point away at a team who 'always' beat us, with only the home loss to Birmingham being arguably a bad result. It's still in our own hands to make the playoffs come season end, and even if we fall short, it's been a fun season for the most part.
  11. So presumably we should look to scrap the u22 ticket banding then too? Given how that is also some nice age discrimination? Not that it will happen, but the loyalty bonus idea is quite a nice one.
  12. Good work on the gif. For me, it's a penalty. There's a difference between using your body to shield the ball, and what this defender is doing - which is using his outstretched arms to hold Famara from getting through.
