  1. It's on there. Just not as important as promoting gambling with Mansion bet so hidden away.
  2. I'm not buying the injuries as an excuse to the levels of performance - the fit players are better than what has been offered up. We had 5 full internationals in the starting 11, and 2 on the bench. As for the rest being knackered, Millwall had 3 outfield players in their team on Tuesday who had played more minutes this season than any of our players. It's not the losing - it's the lack of game plan and desire shown in the past 5 or so games. I think we've have 10 shots on target in 5 games!
  3. If you’ve got a now tv stick. The red button streams are at the bottom of the homepage.
  4. Totally agree. However, not everyone is as responsible as you. If everyone did as asked and took social distancing seriously we would be experiencing lots more of what we enjoy. It's not the match itself; clubs will manage this properly, it's the fact that you can't trust some people to act responsibly before and after the game. If it was me I'd let fans in but on the provision that 1) all pubs nearby are shut and 2) all nearby parking restrictions are lifted (where safe) so it's easy for everyone who can drive, to drive to the game. For example we could use the park and ride at
  5. Showing my age and slightly random but its Ray Atteveld and the 1992 team. Atteveld wasn't a youngster, but a established top flight player at Everton. When you look at the squad around then, I think we hugely underachieved (again!). Great days back then, even European football in the Anglo Italian Cup!
  6. Or it could be rather than the disruption caused by bringing in an external appointment this will give Holden the opportunity to build on the good things LJ did leave us with (a pretty decent squad) but rather than big signings the two assistants will be able to help attract the best young talent in the country and develop those we have. Leeds didn’t spend fortunes and sold key player (Kemar Roofe and Pontus Jansen). They were well coached, well organised, had a set style and used the loan market well (imagine we’d signed Ben White and Nketieh last season). Let’s not lower o
  7. There are no lowering of any expectations from the club that I’m aware of? It’s still top 6 and ultimately promotion. The decision to appoint DH was based on them believing he was the best person available To achieve this. This isn’t a rebuilding project, it’s to take the club to the next level. Dean Holden knows what is expected and good luck to him - I’m right behind him.
  8. I think most transfers will be late. It’ll take a month or so for players to realise that their salary expectations aren’t going to be met. The top top players will always get the money but I think your championship type player is going to find it hard to make a move purely for a financial windfall. Clubs will want 3-4 year deals but players may be happier with 2 years and hope the landscape is better for them then. Lots of tough negotiations to be had. Quality loans could be the difference this season, in which case we hope our two new assistants prove to be our best signin
  9. Coronavirus may cause their model big issues. They rely on selling and reinvesting and don't operate a normal academy to bring young players through. If they can't sell, or reinvest, at the same levels due to financial constraints of clubs, then the model falls apart. They don't have young academy players to bring through so it'll be interesting to see whether they can continue to push over the next couple of seasons. In theory our academy should ensure a pipeline of future players....
  10. Quality over quantity wins for me. See below list of teams and how many players were used last season. The more consistent your players, the less you need, the better you do? I'd suggest we have too many fillers and it results in chopping and changing simply hoping to find a player with some form.
  11. I understand the turnover of Bristol Rugby (£9m) is around 30% of the Football club (£30m). Surely we just spend less on wages for squad fillers (i.e Marley Watkins, Adelukun,) and invest in a leader to coach and manage the team. Buy cheap, buy twice.
  12. It's all about the timing. Once the appointment is confirmed wait and see the amount of other news that will get released in order to deflect attention. This will include:- the new kit, the new fixture list, lots of stuff on how they can justify keeping our season ticket money and give us Robins TV, some transfer activity and lots of videos of players retuning to training. The new manager announcement will be on page 3 of the website before you know it.
  13. Agreed. Some context needs to be given to getting Portsmouth out of LG2 (false division with their support and resource) and also getting Wigan into the championship which Gary Caldwell managed with them also. Can’t see what he’s got that will take us from mid table championship into the premier league? It’s more of a gamble than CH for me.
  14. I don’t necessarily disagree with the point your trying to make but over the last two seasons Millwall have a nett spend of -£2m (Profit) and we a nett spend of -£30m (profit). Two different models, they buy cheap and keep, we spend more and look for sell on value. I’d suggest their model requires better coaching.
  15. That’s what I think. 4-2-3-1 Eliasson - Weiman - Taylor causing mayhem behind Fammy Pack and Brownhill central.
