  1. Think he's now mature enough and confident enough to take that leadership role.
  2. Think Zak Vyner has built on a good season last year to become the 1st player on the teamsheet. Surely a future Captain.
  3. excellent from Sam Bell for the goal. Composure we have often lacked.
  4. think Id be bringing McCrorie on for Mehmeti, and switch Sam to the left fairly sharpish if we don't fire in the first 10 minutes..
  5. find the negativity odd. How about he helps Tommy Conway score a hatful of goals in the remainder of the season or Jason Knight to play in his best position. Both then increase in value, potentially substantially and gives us some excitement between now and the season end. Glass half full for me and excited to see how he fits into the team and whether we can start scoring some goals!
  6. Would like to see Weimann pushed forward alongside Tommy tomorrow with TGH playing right midfield and Knight alongside Williams/or James. Think that may help cope without Sykes. Hoping there will be a decent stream...
  7. if all 3 stay fit then keep all 3 while academy players grow into starting 1st team. All 3 continue to be effective when fit, and playing, and can be rotated along side TGH and Jason Knight.
  8. best thing about the Sykes goal was Mehmeti shooting with his left foot rather than cutting back inside. If he continues to grow in confidence that will make him a real handful. Williams finally seems fully fit and that is probably the biggest difference.
  9. because he did a top job, communicated with the fans and knew how to be a CEO - just for starters! wont happen but would need someone who can do the role.
  10. for me the most frustrating part was the incessant kicking from O'Leary - each time giving the ball to Blackburn. Only when we started to play out from the back when 2-0 down did we progress the ball with any guile. Otherwise we relied upon interceptions or Dickie and Vyner stepping out (which they did well). A poor performance with the notable exception of Knight who was a bright light in the gloom.
  11. Gary Collier was superb but difficult to argue against Gerry Gow ....
  12. decent performance - hope wide players watch McGinn's goal for Villa. As with better delivery from promising positions we would have one comfortably. They had one real chance from the breakaway and scored. We fashioned plenty but final ball often poor- would bring on Cornick ahead of Mehmeti who disappointed when in promising positions. Good to see Sukes back on the right.
