  1. I just find it interesting how vocal a new member can be in support of an underperforming manager, especially when they have supported the club for so long. Never during the good times of Cotterill, being one game away from the promised land under Gary Johnson, the tenure of Johnson Jnr. Yet now is the time to join and defend Manning who is clear doing a poor job so far.
  2. Funny you should say a better group of players in 22-23, seeing as our own board see the current squad as capable of achieving promotion
  3. Consistency is an issue, you are right about that. However, the issue under Manning is they are consistently crap! Exceptions being Watford away, Southampton home and a couple of cup games. In answer to the original question, fair targets for Manning, this is quite simple to me… play the type of football we were told to expect, whilst picking up points along the way. Show progression is being made, not regression. No one realistically expected promotion. That only came from the board. However, they will mostly be judge on this now, not necessarily Manning. If Manning is not delivering on this front, it is down to the board to act on this.
  4. Just out of interest, please don’t take this as judgement or criticism, what made you suddenly want to start engaging on this forum if you had supported City for that long?
  5. About 30 years and a majority of them have been much more enjoyable. We aren’t talking about one off games though, it’s the whole package. You never expect success with City, we know that. But a few hours every other Saturday has never felt as much of a chore as it doesn’t currently.
  6. Another example of a player who has regressed under the Manning regime…
  7. You said we didn’t allow them a shot on target. That’s completely different to allowing them a chance and them missing the target. You are suggesting we were throwing our bodies on the line the stop them having a chance which wasn’t the case!
  8. No they didn’t, but you said we didn’t allow them a shot on target. It wasn’t that we didn’t allow them a shot on target, they just missed the target. Surely you know the difference? I’ve put my reasons as to why I am not happy. Not sure how much clearer I can make it?
  9. Didn’t allow them a shot on target? Assume you are joking? They had a couple of clear chances, one particularly in the second half. They just badly missed the target. It had nothing to do with us!
  10. Didn’t want to go, decided not to. Last minute phone call saying we’re on our way to pick you up changed that. Wish I hadn’t bothered. Glad to see fans showing their feelings with a half empty ground. I will follow this as stated in another post. It’s a shame we never get ‘bums on seats’ numbers when it comes to attendances. Would be amazed if there were more than 16k inside that ground today.
  11. I’m not gonna lie, I wouldn’t say it sank but I certainly didn’t celebrate or get remotely excited. Hence my decision not to go again this season. I can’t get behind this brand of football. I can’t get excited with an undeserved 1-0 win at home where we’ve had 23% possession (based on bbc website). Like I said to someone else, if you enjoyed that this afternoon then good luck to you.
  12. If you are happy spending your weekends watching that then good luck to you! I don’t think there is any risk to worrying about them doing well.
  13. That was bloody terrible. Literally the worse performance of the season. Unfortunately all it’s done is give Manning breathing space. Making that my last visit to the gate this season. Can no longer sit through it and cant celebrate even when they win.
  14. Perfect result.., now Joshua can believe in his own hype again before getting another beating from Usyk or Fury
  15. Can’t send anymore reactions today so you get a personal thanks… thanks
  16. Has anyone paying for their season ticket had a payment taken for March as yet? I thought March was the final payment but nothing has been collected as yet. Cheers
  17. With all due respect mate, there is nothing in this world that would convince me we should be proud of nearly beating Ipswich Town. Man City or Liverpool, maybe. Ipswich Town, not in a million years!
  18. Might as well have been, zero points for losing 3-2 or 7-0…
  19. Need to see more of McCrorie to judge. You are probably right about James but I would prefer Naismith over all of them.
  20. Wes Burns! Of little benefit to us of course, but that is not the same player who left us. He looked immense and could well be in the premier league next season. I had him down as a league 1 player at best! Three cheers for Burns, hip hip…
  21. As critical as I am of Manning, people have hit the nail on the head time and time again in that the issues go well above him alone.
