  1. Out of interest, did anybody who bought seats in the home areas have them cancelled as threatened by BCFC? I didn’t have any problems. Apart from trying to look upset when we equalised.
  2. But after that handful of appearances for Bournemouth, Danny Murphy has been singing Alex's praises on MOTD and The Athletic are already calling him Bournemouth's most naturally talented player. So I think they'll be qute happy.
  3. Competent but dull. Seems we’d rather retain the ball and recycle it to our own half than risk playing an attacking ball into the final third.
  4. Mine was still showing Hull and it let me in. It’s still showing Hull now.
  5. Certainly feels a conservative line up. Can’t say whether it’s tactical or rotational though.
  6. People thought that about LJ - and stated it repeatedly- but he was sacked in the end. And is there any actual evidence that Tinnion had any say in the sacking of Pearson? I doubt it. It seems all to be 2+2=5. Tinnion may well be a yes man, but I imagine JL calls the shots, whether we like it or not.
  7. I foolishly left it too late to get a ticket - despite having as ST. However, I went and signed up on the West Ham website and have just bought tickets, which went on general sale at 2pm - no payment for membership required, just create an account. These are etickets which will be sent out seven days or so before the match. Personally I dont mind being in the home areas and for £25 I've got tickets at the side of the stadium, where I prefer the view. I had to put my address in (Somerset) but it doesnt seem to exclude by postcode or anything. So if you missed out, there are plenty of tickets available, provided being in the away fans' area isnt crucial to you.
  8. I have a season ticket and didn’t even think of checking for tickets before tea time!
  9. Have to admit, I’ve heard the phrase “baby shower” but have no idea what it is. Presumably it’s because I’m old!
  10. Pompey beat Bolton 2-0 tonight and are clear at the top of L1. Pack and Morrell both started and played 90 minutes.
  11. Lower Lansdown too. The music is so loud that I can’t have a proper conversation with the guys next to me. Background music is fine but it’s like being in a nightclub.
  12. There’s no accounting for taste. I think our goalkeeping shirts are rather loud - but my 12 year old nephew (a south London resident and big Arsenal fan) wants one for Christmas!
  13. I disagree. Robbored’s specialist subject has always been “stating the bleeding obvious” and nothing seems to have changed.
  14. This all reminds me if that slogan that used to be painted on the wall approaching Paddington station ”Far away is close at hand in images of elsewhere” Thst always tickled me.
  15. Yes, it’s always bugged me that he doesn’t support a Bristol team.
  16. Why should it be? We don’t all read every word that’s published. Did NP publicly say we should have bought more after Scott left?
  17. Can't really answer the question until we know whether it is supposed to read "who is left?" or "who has left?"
  18. Rocketed up to eleventh today. Objective achieved. Bottom placed Villa up next?
  19. Isn't there the possibility he could sell the football team and stadium, but retain and continue to finance the other teams? Not ideal if he wants a clean break, but feasible?
  20. People keep saying this - based on what? There is no communication from the top but many posters seem to read their minds.
  21. The knives are out for Lansdown so anything will be blamed on him now.
  22. Sad. A well meaning football owner who got a lot of grief from fans.
  23. Huge losses? I thought we made profits on some of those - Eisa, Szmodics?
