In all fairness, you may well be right. Truth be told, Brentford were good for the win, and we were absolute crap in the first half. But going into that second period, having somehow kept them down to the 2 goals (mainly due to FF) a 2-2 draw was definitely there for us. Still on to this evening; just hope the players start quicker and cut out the sloppy defending.

How do you define a gutless defeat? If our well-worked chances had been taken, we could've drawn 2-2 on Saturday. There seems to be a myth that the City players aren't trying to win games, aren't trying to compete. This is nonsense, the truth is, as shown by the League Table - the City team just isn't that good compared to the rest of the Championship. We are capable of the odd surprise result (4-0 to Huddersfield, decent away draw to Newcastle etc) but on the whole, we are a bottom 5 team. I've not seen evidence of gutless defeats, just a struggling team, who for 45 minutes on Saturday couldn't compete with an aggressive, quick, Brentford team who pressed us into mistakes and kept us pinned into our own half. The second half performance was much better, and had Tammy and Taylor scored their inviting chances, we could be here on the back of an excellent point.

Come on City, please for the love of all City fans around the world and the cosmos, win this damned game today!! I look for a 2-0 win and a draw at Blackburn v Wigan. If we lose today, farewell Mr Johnson, thanks for the survival last season. I fear the talents of Michael Kightly; will luck do us a favour and somehow force him to miss this game today?

Well, of course it was a bit of a joke... but holy crap, can't believe how our form has deteriorated into the terrible run we're currently experiencing. There was no evidence back then to suggest the season was always going to sour to this shocking extent, and that's the main concern. I expected a dip, yeah sure, we all did, but to fall so low, come on man, how can you deal with that? I sure as shit know I can't.

By far the most interesting person I (sort of) know (do internet forums count as knowing someone?). Your life is an incredible adventure, and no doubt would make a good book or two, and a decent Sunday evening film. Perhaps, in the non footie section you could pen the saga of your life - if you don't mind us nosey buggers prying over every detail! Around the world and you bump into a City fan and a Preston fan. Marvellous stuff. I'll take your wish for a 4-0 win and predict the same score line. Perhaps if enough of us predict the same score, the combined will of the City collective will force the score to manifest as reality. COME ON YOU REDSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS LJ is the King.

On the next free weekend (international break) I suggest we all travel en masse to the places mentioned / photographed above, decked out in City shirts, and go on a guided tour. Havanatopia to lead the walk and talk. A new City rambling club is born! Today's game, a 2-1 City win, to celebrate LJ 2020. COME ON YOU REDS, LET'S MAKE OUR WAY BACK TOWARDS THE TOP SIX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A fine morning to you, Havanatopia, and as suggested in your opening paragraph, there is something uninspiring about a match against Ipswich. The tractor boys are a rather unglamorous outfit, but they do still have Mad Mick McCarthy at the helm, so at least he adds a source of interest. What grips my attention about today is the fact that Ipswich have the same points as us, so it's going to be a refreshing change not to play a team settled in the top 3 of the league. On that point, I find it amazing that we've just played teams currently ranked places 2nd, 3rd, 4th. Frankly, coming away from that sequence bereft of points is no need for concern, especially when you look at the exciting, attacking football we produced for large patches of the two away games. Today's game has all the makings of a dour, hard-fought match; I'm going for City to score the deciding goal, and Wilbs to come from the bench to grab it in the last 15 minutes. The safe money would be on a 1-1 draw. Here's hoping I'm wrong and it turns into a six-goal thriller.... COME ON YOU REDSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
