It's only Tuesday and they're already discussing this Saturday's game; https://forum.pinkun.com/index.php?/topic/156283-bristol-city-saturday/

For possibly our biggest game of the season to date ( Ipswich aside ) I amazed at the number of tickets still available, just 4 days away, with plenty of doubles and the section next to the away area ( I assume has not been available to long ) almost totally available.

Big game this one. Bristol are right near the top of the form table so we'll have to be at our best.

Surprised it's not completely sold out. Regardless of the opposition, every game for us is massive from now on.

It’s only recently been made available. Looks like Bristol will be bringing relatively few fans with them.

I see there are 400 left, I thought the allocation was 1600 so 1200 is pretty good

Real highs are making the top flight or a cup final though. I’m 50 and I’ve never experienced any real highs watching city. JPT finals and league one promotions are good at the time but they aren’t real highs are they?

we’ve pitifully underachieved in the 40 years I’ve been following the club.

I am with you, but im just looking at it pragmatically as well over those 50 years..... I'm a similar age so know, I feel the same to a degree.

70's were great from what i can remember.

80's we survived going under and get ourselves back to league 1 and a league cup semi

90's- yo yoed between league 1 and championship, well mainly league one  very frustrating decade .

Then 2000s - it got brighter, infrastructure build, as we had a an old tired ground and poor training facilities and got back to the 2nd tier.

    Now an established championship team.

I have a similar feel at the moment as I did in the 90s trying to get out of L1. We have changed manager a few times trying to fix that, so IMO all we can do is back LM for a prolonged spell like we did with NPand just hope "it happens". We are not going down so let's see where we finish. "If" we finish 8th to 11th I think it will give us some hope bring some positivity going in to the summer.

  3. This is just what happens in football. Happens to all teams. Ups and downs. Its football. Always has done and always will.

We enjoy the highs and support the lows, that's being a supporter.

    IMO, though

  4. I am not seeing the number of tickets remaining for the away games, currently ipswich and wba,  is this a change to the display on the OS or is it just an issue with my view?

Thank goodness two teams from the same geographical area couldn't play in the final when we used to be a lower level team. Imagine getting to Wembley and having to play the Gas. We'd only be allocated 10,000 tickets as they have a track record of taking 70,000+ to Wembley for finals.

    or maybe more

    From the ones on there I actually watched ;

Alan Dicks got us to Div 1 , Semi final of the League Cup and won the Anglo Scottish . Most successful manager in our recent history.  I think THAT Leeds game may have saved his job as we were having a poor year after some building.

Joe Jordan got us to another Semi Final and I'm convinced we would have got to the playoffs at least if he hadn't left.

Danny Wilson decent, but could have been so much better . That Brighton Playoff ???

Terry Cooper has Godlike status in my eyes. For all he did to save and resurrect the Club on a shoestring , the style of football and even just giving us that game at Eastville , real Legend and my personal favourite .

I had to look the league cup up, thanks, didnt know about the semi v Spurs.

    Did you go?

    If yes,

Did you go to both legs?

    What do you remember?

    It's a crap song/chant but I'll admit I kind of like it. It's ours.

That 2008 season with it ringing out at Ashton Gate even when we were losing with 10 minutes left, Brooker randomly coming on as a sub, McCombe up for the 5 corners we'd have in a row in front of the East End, McAllister looping in shit crosses from barely 10 yards inside the opposition half, but somehow you really felt we'd get a draw if not a win even so... Good stuff.

yep, great season, one of the best, since the seventies

You may not like the song or mantra, and nor do i, but at least it isn't totally embarrassing like most current attempts at describing other cities as toilets, comparing their ground with sheds and other such nonsense.

As Mozo said many on OTIB don't think very positively anyway so "Always Believe" hardly gets used.

    COYRS!

its better than mull of kintyre

If you go on forests forum page just like West Ham’s fans saying how noisy city city fans were and probably the loudest this season , yet all our fans do is slag our support off

imo considering we have had 4-5 seasons of pretty poor football / results I think our support has been superb our fan base has actually grown ffs  ( obviously not as much as rovers has 😂😂

    is that the horsepunchers?
