  1. I can almost guarantee that if we put the away fans up in the top tier of the Williams stand that people would say that's where we need to be because of the sloping down roof and the away fans making loads more noise up there than the rest of the stadium.

    KFC

I can remember going in there first the first home game of the season 13/14 and there were piles of full bin bags just sat in the restaurant and fly's all over the ceiling - haven't ate there since. Now I have a Clarks pie the other side of the ground and can say it's easily better in every way.
  3. Preciously - going in pubs that are usually frequented by family orientated home fans that just want to spend some time together and getting abuse/banter from pissed up ********* is likely to attract attention from our own pissed up ********* that don't usually have anyone to aim there knobish behaviour at.
  4. Depends what they are singing, "stick your tractors up your arse" seemed to be the favourite of the evening. I would say that's slightly inflammatory.
  5. Or reduce the need for them, if the digital ticket system worked for cup games then we probably wouldn't have had the amount of problems and the stewards wouldn't have been so overwhelmed. I used the barcode to enter last night, the stewards on the gate at the Dolman entrance were saying you could use either and that it didn't matter.
  6. If you think most people have got use to tapping there card or phone but everything last night was a ticket (either printed or on phone). Anicdotally there seemed to be people that had booked for there friends/family but hadn't printed so were trying to use there phone to scan each person in so everyone was waiting while they tried to load the tickets from there email in a crowded area where the cell towers are overloaded with other people trying to go through there emails to find there tickets. People just expect to be able to download wherever and whenever they want. The tickets do say to print them. S23/24 was a mare, I was stood on the steps and moved to a different section when the paramedics needed to get in. 2 things - the club had sold tickets to anyone that wanted to go in there so the family beside me were usually in the Williams but wanted the 10 pound tickets so booked to go in there - I assume taking a spot from someone who would usually go in there that had to get a ticket for elsewhere but that's how people in there enjoy there football so just went in there. I was watching the stewards at half time and they were stopping everyone and checking tickets until one of them walked off just as west ham came out and then the other one just gave up and then it appeared that everyone that had been turned away just walked up at that point.
  7. Except that's what we hear from everyone at the club and Lansdowns have already sacked a manager this season for not being in the top 6!
  8. I saw this worked for others so gave it a go and now can't add my friend and my son back on to the list because apparently they are on another list . Tried phoning the club when I finished work at 4 phone lines were closed, in work tomorrow at 8 until 4, I might be able to get to a phone at lunchtime but that will be after members have grabbed there lot, hope there are tickets left!
  9. After: Engineering works overrun Flooding Broken door Canceled train Driver not allowed to drive anymore Electric issues between Reading and Paddington Signalling faults Managed to miss the first 10 minutes, so as far as I'm concerned we won 0-1 and I had my least expensive away day ever!

    Vyner

I was starting to worry that Nige got the best out of Vyner that we were going to see and that he was starting to let that standard slide again but last night he was back to that top quality seen under Nige.

    Tanner

I never understand the stick he gets but I don't think it's much, same as Orr used to get a bit of stick but was a dependable right back. It's only when these types of players are asked to do more than the defensive roles they were signed for do we see that they are not Beckham and Neville rolled into one and seemingly get upset about it.
  12. What's the problem? We don't sell out, It's not like people are locked out is it?
  13. I used to think like this but there are now at least whole leagues worth of teams that are a similar size to us or smaller that have played in the prem. That's not an individual managers fault. So while we could be a lot worse off the chance of us having been a lot better off at some point over the last 25 years are highly likely.
  14. So no questions about where away fans should be placed, doesn't sound like the SC&T are in tune with what fans really want according to the latest fans forum .
  15. Thanks, so basically if someone makes a stupid offer then he will sell. Doesn't that apply to everything i.e. if someone offered me 4x market value for anything I had then I would likely sell it.
  16. Semenyo, Kelly? Anyone else at Bournemouth ?
  17. There's a part of me that thinks this thread doesn't get created if we win but you have a point. Peps influence is something that gets blamed for the ticky tacka or what ever it is but Peps sides don't play like we did today they use the possession to probe and move opponents into positions to create gaps pulling opposition players out of position and then exploiting that space - we didn't do that we stood off and just passed it to each other with Norwich just stood Infront of us with no reason to move.
  18. About as some destroying as can be. What ever Manning is doing at half time clearly is having a negative affect on everything.
  19. Not in the last 3 games! Looks like the quality Vyner left with Nige and Holden era Vyner is back to haunt us.
  20. We won't because we can't, everyone could see it wasn't possible within this squad, it was obvious that Nige was trying to implement the front foot football that the owners want but was limited by the squad, he clearly settled on a kind of front foot football as much as possible in a style that suited the squad in a balancing act. The owners didn't think that was enough and we could do more so have brought in someone to just play front foot football and when it doesn't work hasn't got a clue what to do.
  21. Expectations have risen because of communication coming from the top, it's only right that we now expect this team to be top 6 and challenging and pissed off if they aren't.
  22. For those saying that some players take time to develop - hope you're not suggesting we should have kept him as a bit part player until the last couple of seasons. He's 29 now (which makes me feel old), he needed his time at Fleetwood and Ipswich to give him the chance of being the player he is now and was never going to do it here.
