  1. There were shirts "Johnson's, no more tears" at his first home game if I remember rightly.
  2. I get ya. What gives you more chance of getting promoted a manager that has been promoted or a manager that hasn't? By your logic I could be as good a football manager as anyone else so only another 8 billion people in the world to try before we find out match. In the last 20 years we have had 2 managers that have had experience of getting teams out of this league (in the correct direction) one of them stayed for about 3 games because the Lansdown are C u next Tuesday's. Meanwhile the rest of the time as we bounce between the second and third tier we have appointed good tacticians that can't drive an ethic into a team, we get soft like our managers/coaches - the type of people the Lansdowns know live in fear of there wealth and power over them. It's not that I'm anti someone that hasn't been promoted before but I don't trust the Lansdowns to get this right at all - they don't know what makes a successful football team so they don't know what they are looking for in someone to create it. The only option is someone who has already demonstrated that they know what they are doing otherwise there are going to be a lot more upset people around Ashton gate.
  3. I've had a look back through your previous posts, I can't see any point your trying to make, can you state your point please?
  4. Fair enough. I'm looking for someone who knows how to get promoted out of this league, you sound like you are happy with someone who has a history of being competitive in league 1. Everyone will be hit and miss, I agree, I would just prefer someone who has had a hit at the thing we are stating as a minimum requirement (getting promoted). So not our stated goals then.
  5. But obviously didn't get them promoted, so no evidence that he knows how to get out of this division in the correct direction.
  6. I wouldn't have sacked Pearson, I hear he is out of the job, ticks all the boxes for me so would hire him!
  7. Probably that they had had enough of Lee Clarke and they wanted someone with experience of getting promoted from this division?
  8. Are they With the advantage of coming up with the side they built. And for every example there is the equivalent Barnsley that had Lee Johnson.
  9. If we want to be good in league 1 we can hire good league 1 managers.
  10. I had to look up front foot football and the best I can come up with is that it is the opposite of being on the back foot - seems an obvious/pointless statement - like saying we want to score goals, don't want to be on the back foot so get on the front foot. What team wants to be on the back foot because not every team can be on the front foot?
  11. I assume he gets the sack if we don't get promoted though?
  12. I see this as supporting the team he built as well as showing support for him with subtext of **** the Lansdowns. Win win win.

  14. We might do this week, we didn't last week?

Maybe this is what Pearson was supposed to be fixing, if it was in his roles and responsibilities to fix the website I can understand the sacking .
  16. I thought you were going to say scrumpy had done an interview explaining Nige's departure!
  17. I can't see it, he has too many links to Pearson.

    The response!

Tinnion video out now! We need to be us, pearls of wisdom! I think the problem for them is that Nige is authentic and when you compare it to this it's just waffle.

I'm actually angrier now than I was before!

    The response!

Well that's cleared up **** all. "We know who we want to speak to, but the news is only just out so names might be added in the near future" what the **** is it? Is it that you know who you want to speak to or is it that your waiting for people to apply? Obviously no follow up questions like "Why didn't you back Pearson when Scott left then?" To the nonsense of we weren't getting promoted line!
  21. Complete conjecture but I wonder if he is trying to go down the Spanish route and sell a presidency for like 3 years at a time. That way he still has complete ownership but allows someone else to run the ship for a few years at a time with there own money so he doesn't have to pay for it.
  22. I imagine they have to approve everything.
  23. Anti Lansdown wouldn't get through the door, pro Pearson would be seen as anti Lansdown.
  24. I could do this as long as no one is buying anything.
  25. Oh yeah without a doubt we are going back to the LJ days of a head coach, it's the model SL wants but without any of the supporting model.
