  1. Oh yeah without a doubt we are going back to the LJ days of a head coach, it's the model SL wants but without any of the supporting model.
  2. I feel like tearing down the ******* Lansdown stand at the moment. I'm certainly up for renaming it as soon as he ***** off.
  3. Thanks Nige, one of the most bezare sackings in my time supporting city. I think you did a fantastic job with the resources available.
  4. Because they were good footballers today you have to be a good footballer and an athlete. I would imagine that most 3rd tier sides would run rings around any team from the 60s/70s playing by modern rules.
  5. The recruitment at the time was opaque and I'm not sure how much of the problem was LJ, Ashton was the recruitment team (taking a similar philosophy to Ipswich in buying up anyone he can). LJ was certainly involved, he said he had the final say but what were the options? It was most likely bluster because we all know SL gets the final say.
  6. I assume that goes for Ipswich as well as they might (hopefully not) have the same points after tonight. Most teams in this league have had trampoline payments at some point but Ipswich haven't in the last 20 years.
  7. What, on OTIB? Almost guaranteed!
  8. I would say it's probably 2. The COO probably hadn't had there roles and responsibilities updated following the CEO leaving and just carried on with what they were doing.
  9. I find a lot of the songs rather simple but that might because I try to sing them. The Harry Cornick song you referred to changes 3 words in one line and most of the next line, if that's complicated then we probably just need to stick to "come on you reds" when we get a corner 5 times a game. Woke up this morning feelin' Fine There's something special/got Harry Cornick on my mind Last night I met a new girl in the neighborhood/city's number 9 and he looks so fine, whoa yeah Something tells me I'm into something good. I know people that "support" man u that have only been to old Trafford once or twice but they seem to know all the songs. Plenty of people sing and know the words when they want which seems to coincides with when we are doing well which I can only attribute to them feeling good. If they don't want to get behind the team and sing when things aren't going well then that is there choice but it does lead to a sterile atmosphere and something other teams have that we don't in picking the team up.
  10. Cornick didn't come on until the 66th minute - I would say the atmosphere was better after he came on. What are these old fashioned songs that more can join in? The Cornick song is to the tune of "I'm into something good" - it came out in 1964, how old are you looking for? I agree the problem is not enough people are joining in. We have about 50 people singing regularly and we need like 2k.
  11. Last year some people got off at Newport and caught a local train to get into the city centre. Sounded like it worked quite well.
  12. Not everything has to achieve something does it? What does any minutes silence achieve? Nothing really, what does it allow? My answer would be that in modern busy society it allows a moments reflection of something (usually tragic) that has happened - I think we can all agree what has happened this week is tragic due to the scale?
  13. As long as that's in there I wouldn't see the problem with a 3 year contract.
  14. I don't want people sacked for the sake of it but I voted to sack and now think he should have a 2 year extension. I voted to sack because we were not competitive in the league against the vast majority of sides and I had my target at the half way point as having to be above 18th - we weren't so I stuck to my original target and decided that he should be sacked. I'm happy that we didn't sack him. This season my target is above 16th by the half way point. We do look competitive. I have no reason to want him to be sacked. I don't let an individual result dictate if he should stay or not I judge it over 1/2 a season.
  15. I don't think 3 is quite right, eventually people will get bored/frustrated and just want change for the sake of it, some are going to start asking what is he achieving over 4/5 years no matter what happens. I think 2 makes sense, if something goes wrong in season 1 then it's not too expensive to get rid.
  16. I assume it started as a minutes silence for the Israeli's that were killed and then as the week has unfolded they have realised that would make it look like ignoring the suffering of Palestinians so they have changed it to both sides. Then like you say it becomes an announcement that could have been made anytime in the last 2500 years.
  17. I haven't had a problem with my VPN ever, had problems with me selecting the wrong country, had loads of problems with RobinsTV. When RobinsTV works it's never worse with or without a VPN. I know because I have watched RobinsTV in other countries without using a VPN.
  18. Stream is fine here in the German state of nordistan..... unfortunately.
  19. It was a real downturn following the introduction of VAR in the prem. I assume they are doing something differently in there training to adjust for VAR but obviously we don't have VAR!
  20. What's the backup? Are they streaming it from a mobile phone for everyone?
  21. Trying to forward my ticket for the game today and getting an error "due to access control communication error" I have removed it from my wallet already. Anyone know where I'm going wrong?
  22. Wouldn't have helped with the skin issue. When I tested I loaded a private window so wouldn't have accessed my cookies so would have given the red skin which didn't work - which makes sense now knowing the issue.
  23. @One Team can't get in across multiple devices. I'm using a VPN, I wonder if it's a regional issue.
