  1. Am I right in thinking our last trip to Home Park was Gary Johnson's last game before he got sacked?
  2. I'd think that it's still worth clearing the site whilst the legal case proceeds. If SL decides to give up on the project and sell the land, the land would probably be worth more as a clean slate ready for other developments. And if the case goes our way, we're not too far off schedule.
  3. I think he said if City go to the Premier League, he'd go to watch all the games and wouldn't want to work at them.
  4. I'm pretty sure it was briefly used when we had a second disallowed, it was clearly offside but I remember seeing the ref signalling that there was a quick VAR check.
  5. To play Devil's Advocate, I'm guessing their thinking was that it's more likely to get trashed by United fans if it's all red & white with Sunderland stuff. By putting some united stuff up, they might not trash it.
  6. I used to live above the row of shops where the Spoons is in Stratford so know the pubs well. Spoons won't have an issue with Away fans and probably the cheapest pint around there and will be open early. Most of the nicer pubs don't open til midday. The Cow is very much a home fans pub. Went there pre-match when me and my Forest supporting mate went in the West Ham end for their match, plenty of hammers fans in there. Same for Tap East that was standing room only (it's a CAMRA Good Beer Guide pub).
  7. What pubs are people aiming for? I'd normally recommend the pubs around Hackney Wick, but they all don't open until 12 on a Sunday. The best option in Stratford I can find that I'm pretty sure are open to away fans is The Sportsman (Formally known as The Goose) https://www.greatukpubs.co.uk/sportsman-stratford It's about a 20-25 min walk away from the away end. Other options are the spoons in Stratford (Golden Grove) or Liverpool St (Hamilton Hall). The pubs/bars nearer the stadium like Tap East, Bat & Ball and The Cow are Home Fans only, but you'd probably be okay without colours on.
  8. I must have been lucky as non STH options came up for me.
  9. Thank you so much for the heads up! Just managed to bag 2 as well. Though awaiting an e-mail from the club to say it was an error or something!
  10. If my West Ham friend wished to buy tickets NOT sat around Bristol City fans going incognito in the home end... what blocks would people suggest he didn't buy tickets in...
  11. Looks like there’s a good chance I’ll be in the home end. Surely this is selling out before Monday
  12. Yeah, I'm pretty sure they sponsored the Dolman Stand after it was redone.
  13. Surprised at the lack of Wrexham games. Would have expected them to take up most International break slots.
  14. Cheers! There is a 0022 Elizabeth Line to Whitechapel now, so might be able to catch that on the odd time it's early. Thanks for the heads up about the 205, should get me close enough that an onward taxi journey to Barking isn't too expensive if I don't fancy then hopping on a N15.
  15. What time does it get in at? Need to figure out whether I can get back to Barking. Hopefully the Lizzie line makes that easier now.
  16. Reading between JL's statement, and Coventry's... I wouldn't be surprised if Hummel kept telling City a new distributor was coming, City gave up on waiting (or couldn't wait any longer) and pulled the trigger and now Hummel have found a new supplier City had already started work with O'Neill's.
  17. Have we given Man City all of the Atyeo? Unlike the League Cup games where we had a little corner of our fans?
  18. I quite like the Chemical Brothers montage intro. Should go from that, to the Trumpet fanfare and then into One for the Bristol City.
  19. I've been a subscriber to Apple TV+ since launch, but pay for it bundled in with other Apple services like their Fitness thing and Music streaming. I doubt they'll bother marketing it too much outside of the US, except to help boost the wider offering (ie. we have amazing tv series, movies and sport). I'll be interested in how they present it and what the coverage is like.
  20. Just spreading the word that Thornbury Town in the Hellenic League Premier are playing Roman Glass St. George this Friday night and all City ST Holders can get free entry (Normally £5 inc programme). 7:30 KO.
  21. I could see us having a situation like Coventry where the station wouldn’t be able to open on match days due to crowds and capacity. You’d need a high frequency of trains passing through, and a large area outside the station to hold people to stop platforms overcrowding. Id like to think however Bristol Sport would be happy to contribute money to put all that in place.
  22. I said this as well. You finish this season in the normal fashion asap, then you curtail next season to make it finish in May as usual. You could have a 23 game season by playing each other once. If you had more time, you could play each other once, then split off into the top half play each other, and the bottom half play each other. If you had less time, you could split leagues regionally, or randomly in half and have top teams from each get promoted. Plenty of creative options possible. Another was to try and finish the season by November, and then change to February-November seasons until the 2022 World Cup.
  23. Planning on going to the Exeter Chiefs game in April. First home game in ages, mostly see them in their London away games. Where’s good to sit at AG?
