Pretty sure there were more City than gash, Muller Rd and most of the South enclosure  (where I was ), a lot of them from the South Enc, invaded the pitch when we scored .

+1 in the North Stand enclosure 😀

Well, I'll probably renew, as I have the last 20-odd years, but...

I'm as royally cheesed off as I ever have been this season; and to cap off a really disappointing season, that looked interesting, and has been turned to ratshit by senior management, my 13yo son has started comming to matches this year, and I couldn't buy him a season ticket in the South Stand if I wanted too!

    Might just not bother..

I'm feelling really apathetic, such a damn shame

I'm really only watching them now because my own son, also 13 likes to go. Once he's older and starts going on his own I'll probably find something else to do.

Just fed up with the lack of dynamism leading the club. Fed up with hearing "ultimately we want to do this or that". Any fool can say that. What about setting some proper targets and some dates when these things are going to be achieved, like the rest of us in the working world.

Not going to happen  Seagull. I posted previously that the hierarchy won’t want more egg on their faces after sacking Nige with a flimsy explanation.

SLs strategy is ‘stability and sustainability’ and changing a manager so soon after appointing him goes against the former.

It's not sustainable though. They're getting egg on their face virtually every time we play. A heavy defeat against Leicester, or just a defeat followed by a poor result at Plymouth and he has to go, if not before.

Really is an echo chamber on here and doesn't reflect the view of an average fan. How has it come to losing a few games meaning you need to be sacked!? Would you have all sacked fergie in his early United days?

I agree about the echo chamber, but not the view of the average fan? Aside from Rudolph and presumably BigTone, we're all average fans on here.

  5. If everybody is being taught the same thing, won't many teams (of similar ability) just cancel each other out as both sides know what's exactly coming? I've always thought games are won by doing something a bit different/unexpected now and then. Is modern coaching all just perfect world stuff?

But that's part of the point, isn't it? How many of those 15 seasons can be described as exciting?

We've progressed, very slowly. And there hasn't been much to shout about, and certainly no period of sustained success.

Sustained is the key. 2008 aside, on the rare occasions we've had a good season, within 10 games of the next you know it's all gone down the toilet again.

Those Man City and Man Utd cup games we had are exciting by anyone's standards.

What have Mansfield fans had to cheer about?

(Cue @Kid in the Riot telling me that they won the European Cup last year!)

I saw them beat us at Wembley. They last made the FA Cup 6th round in 1969. Beat Leeds over two matches in the cup (we always bang on about that). Put Rovers out of the league.

Given they are a pin ***** of a club compared to us, they've done quite well.

Surely the dull teams are those who are rarely promoted or have any cup runs.

Teams like Mansfield, Rotherham, Chester City / Chester.

1 divisional title in 69 years, 5 promotions since 1976, last FA cup 6th round appearance in 1974 and a run in the league cup about once every 25 years. Can we point fingers?

    Have you tried Manning Motors?

Guaranteed to get you moving quickly, unfortunately only in reverse.

I've been there several times. The trouble is they keep replacing the same parts, regardless of the problem.

  10. It's the dullest roller coaster in the world. No dips or peaks, just a slow boring circle.

I remember as a teenager watching Coventry, Luton and Oxford in the top flight and winning major cups and thinking, I wonder what that feels like, I'm sure we'll get there one day. What a joke.

Enjoy your day at Wembley Coventry. Maybe one day you could tell us how to do it.
