  1. Something like this Bard, "God hath given you one face, and you make yourself another"
  2. They could share with Bath.
  3. I don't disagree. Even they can get it right occasionally though. I just think Manning is one of those "got it wrong again dad" appointments.
  4. There could be 3 or 4 years of harm if the money is spent unwisely. Based on what I've seen, I couldn't trust him with my cheque book.
  5. Not quite, it just feels like it.
  6. Not bad so far. Lets see what happens if Ipswich change things. Have we got the nous on the touchline to adapt?
  7. Reminded me of the end of the Benny Hill show
  8. I agree it's a mid table squad, when utilised correctly. My concern is we aren't getting mid table results (23 points from 20 games). Despite clinging to mid table, the bottom third are moving closer. The direction of travel suggests we wont be mid table for much longer.
  9. Certainly the only team I've seen at 4 different "home" grounds. I think they might have used Forest Green for a home game as well some time ago
  10. I wonder if anyone here went to the original Accrington Stanley ground Peel Park
  11. That is unfortunate. Before they spent £132m on it you could see the whole stage.
  12. It's curved inwards towards the sides which might help. We were sat towards the back, in the middle and it looks like the top tier extends too far down and clips off the nearest part of the stage, everything towards the back of the stage was fine, unfortunately Rob was at the front ! I think it was originally a cinema, which would have worked fine with a large screen high up behind the stage area.
  13. Just got back from seeing Rob Brydon at the Bath Forum. Was a good show with plenty of laughs. What did disappoint me was the view from the balcony or circle as they call it. It reminded me of being at QPR where you can't see all of the goal net. You couldn't actually see all of the stage. Therefore I can confirm that Rob Brydon has a head, but not sure about the legs.
  14. You're quite right to question it, and it's not our job to answer our own questions! The high powered, highly paid help need to do that. It isn't just about failing to get into the Premier League. We haven't finished in (or particularly close to) the play-off places since 2008. The stadium is nice, we know. Bringing the youngsters through has been good to see, we know. Unfortunately the progress on the pitch simply hasn't happened. We seem to be rooted to a similar league position regardless of the much talked about progress. Questioning why that is, while other teams seem to overcome the difficulties and go sailing past us every year, is more than fair.
  15. I feel much the same, can barely be bothered to contribute any more. Unless fundamental change happens at the club (cosy amateurs moved out and professionals moved in) all this talk seems a bit like re-arranging the deckchairs on the Titanic.
  16. Remember being in the east end that day. Seem to remember Curbishley acting like a bit of dick. That must have been getting near the end for the old open end.
  17. Was thinking the same myself as my mind wandered from what was happening on the pitch. A stitch in time and all that.
  18. Notwithstanding the "we should have bought for the now argument", I completely agree he should be given time. If he can perform like the youtube clips, in the Championship we'll all be delighted. I think what a lot of people are concerned about is that the management have done the opposite. They didn't give him time and threw a youngster into a situation that they were completely unprepared for. They didn't do the team or the player any favours at all. I hope the damage isn't permanent.
