  1. They were going to bring out an Adam Murphy range but it’s gone missing. The Scott Twine range looks good but it’s unavailable.
  2. I believe they’ve whittled it down to about 4 locations now. Marlow obviously being one of them. They struggled to get vendors for Bath last year. Nowhere near as many as the previous year. Such a shame. May try to get to the Marlow one next year. Always had the best restaurants/chefs and music acts compared to the other locations.
  3. Gutted that Pub in the park isn’t coming back to Bath anymore. Really enjoyed that the last few years.
  4. I like Phil. His series has certainly made me want to visit places I’d not really thought of going to before. As mentioned before, Lisbon looks incredible and I’ll get there in the future. In the new series, Edinburgh and Washington DC look great. I loved Bourdain. Thought he was so cool. His series were a bit more political and highlighted the negative affects that tourism had on places. Made me not want to visit the places he’d been to He obviously had his own demons and that made him come across like he was a glass half empty kind of guy. Somebody feed Phil is a bit more cheerful but I’d probably rather sit and listen to Bourdain talk in his unique style.
  5. Lisbon is high on my list purely down to the series “Somebody Feed Phil” on Netflix. He also ate at Ponto Final. Looked incredible. If you’ve not seen the series, at least have a look for that Lisbon episode. Certainly looks like a foodies heaven over there
  6. Glad you enjoyed it. I’ve certainly never left there feeling I could eat a bit more. We usually end up with lots of aligot left over as everybody usually wants 1 to themselves even though the waiting staff do suggest that 1 between 2 is plenty . Their little shop & pantry at the end of the road does some pretty fantastic sandwiches, burgers, cakes and pastries too which I’d definitely recommend if in the area and peckish.
  7. How was littleFrench @Kid in the Riot ?
  8. The chocolate mousse is fantastic. The crème brûlée too. I’ve had cote de boeuf, trout, lamb and hake in there. They change the menu quite a bit. None of them disappointed. The aligot and pomme frites are great sides. Usually have the scallops to start as they never disappoint. The wine list is great also. Be interesting to hear your thoughts once you’ve been.
  9. That’s a shame. If Sam from pasture rates it then it must be decent. Got a roast booked in at pasture in a couple of weeks. Can’t wait. littleFrench is my favourite restaurant in Bristol. Been 4 times. Love it in there. Enjoy.
  10. I did think after posting that someone might question the monkey wrap Monkey Wrap An open roti wrap with succulent, charred tandoori chicken, jewels of pomegranate, spinach, mint & that crazy rainbow of homespun Mowgli chutneys.
  11. Went to Mowgli’s today for lunch. Had read mixed reviews on Tripadvisor but tend not to pay much attention unless they’re all really bad. We had the monkey wrap, the Himalayan cheese toast, the treacle tamarind fries which were fantastic, lamb chops, butter chicken and the prawn curry with some roti’s and rice. All in all, was really tasty. Lovely venue. Both curry’s were really tasty. It’s all small plates so you need to order 3 or 4 dishes each and we shared everything. Very instagram friendly venue and food presentation but enjoyable food too. Probably won’t rush back as there’s plenty of other restaurants on the list currently but did say to the wife that if we came back I could easily and happily pick 6 or 7 completely different dishes as the menu nearly all sounds great. Worth a visit. Has anyone tried Bandook in Wapping Wharf? Another Indian street food place with great reviews. Will visit there before I’d go back to Mowgli.
  12. He’s not going until we are in the bottom 3 and looking like a gap is starting to appear. Even then they might try to tell us that he’d be the best man to get us out of league 1. Getting rid before that is admitting they’ve got it wrong.
  13. Nicky Maynard playing for Macclesfield. Steven Caulker player manager of Malaga City apparently. Fonts played with a young Bobby DeCordova Reid, Joe Bryan and Wes Burns. Caulker and Fontaine were a cracking pairing for that one season. Thought Liam was a really classy footballer. Was sad to see him go through such a drop in form and the criticism he received during that time.
  14. I feel the same as you although my interest died after LJ’s 2nd record breaking run of defeats/games without a win when it seemed he was unsackable due to his relationship with the owner. Had a season ticket for 6 years in a row. Think I’ve been about 4 times since. It’s gone from being a huge part of my life to just something I keep an eye on from a distance. Once the Lansdown family and Mr Tinnion are gone, I’ll hopefully become interested again.
  15. We’ll lose to Ipswich courtesy of a couple of individual errors, and we’ll beat Leicester, helping Mark Ashton get to the premier league. Can see it already.
  16. Neil Danns is only 41 himself and was still playing for Macclesfield last year.
  17. Is it only a pop up? I’d heard they were coming to Bristol but didn’t realise it was just a pop up. They have a branch below the apartments at the County Ground in Taunton. Eaten there a few times before a t20 game or after a day watching some county championship cricket. It is fantastic. They were on a tv show a while back that was looking for the best takeaway food restaurant in the country and they won the fried chicken category.
  18. Only a year older than Adam Murphy who is not going to be first team ready this season. But this guy will be somehow after an injury too.
  19. Sounds amazing. Will get in there at some point. Thanks for the review
  20. English football fans certainly haven’t done themselves many favours this weekend. The Port Vale fan chasing the ref, the Maidstone fan trying to kill someone and now this.
  21. 2nd one should be a comfortable Niners win. First game should be much more interesting.
  22. Not 1 person finishing strong and watching the NFL conference championship games tonight?
