  1. English football fans certainly haven’t done themselves many favours this weekend. The Port Vale fan chasing the ref, the Maidstone fan trying to kill someone and now this.
  2. 2nd one should be a comfortable Niners win. First game should be much more interesting.
  3. Not 1 person finishing strong and watching the NFL conference championship games tonight?
  4. Freddy bird will be on Saturday kitchen live next Saturday morning. Probably promoting his new restaurant. If you’ve never been to littleFrench or 1 York Place then you’ll get a decent idea of his style of cooking on the show.
  5. Roy had to lean in closer to read what club name was on our badge. As it looks like about 4 other club’s badges and he probably never played against us in his career, that’s understandable.
  6. Chap called Kev ran it for a while. Was from Weston super Mare area.
  7. Yeah that’s the one. Had a few pairs from there. Think a lot of the pro’s got them from there also. Saw Leroy Lita, Aaron Brown and a couple of others in there back in the day.
  8. I spent about £150 on a pair of predator mania’s, customised with my nickname on the tongue. Got them from the football boot shop that used to be in the Arcade in broadmead. Playing away at Hengrove one week, a team mate had forgotten his boots and I let him use these predators. With hardly any time left in the game, someone played a ball over the top for him, and the Hengrove keeper came well out of his box and 2 footed him half way up his shin. Compete brake of tib and fib. Horrific injury. My boot had to be cut off his foot by the paramedics. Serves me right for getting them personalised I guess
  9. Anyone know what’s the latest with Pasture’s new burger restaurant/butchers/deli that was meant to be opening last year? Prime by Pasture I believe it was going to be named. Going on the corner of St Thomas Street and Cross Street in Redcliffe Quarter. Anyone work in the area and seen any developments there?
  10. First ever pair as a 7 year old kid (around 1990) were black gola’s with orange logo on the side and all white plastic moulded studs on the bottom. Think they were bought at that little sports shop on the A370 near Congresbury/Yatton. Through junior football I had reebok giggs supremes, Umbro speciali’s, puma kings, fila, kappa, adidas predators. Mainly wore Predators in mens football with the occasional pair of adidas world cups/ copa’s.
  11. And the restaurant loses potential income because there is 2 people sat at a table that could have had 4 people around it. The hospitality industry has had a rough few years with covid and now their costs sky rocketing at the same time that customers have less and less money to spend on luxury’s such as eating out. You wouldn’t do it to a much smaller restaurant so why do it to pasture, just because they are doing well in difficult circumstances?
  12. Don’t do that. Ridiculous thing to do
  13. Remarkable places to Eat, the Christmas, Bristol episode was on tv last night. Can be found on the iplayer. This was the episode that helped make littleFrench nearly impossible to get into on a weekend Fred Siriex and Michel Roux waxed lyrical about it. Never heard of aligot before watching that but have had it a few times in there and it’s fantastic. As is their chocolate mouse
  14. We might find out the answers once Lee Johnson writes his books
  15. Pretty sure Lee Johnson insinuated or was possibly even quoted somewhere as saying he didn’t sign/want Szmodzics. The fact he never played the likes of Engvall, Adelukan, Mo Eisa, Szomdics suggest that the manager didn’t want them. We also signed a shed load of random youngsters like Tin Plavotic, Rory Holden and Johnny Smith under Ashton that were never going to be near the first team. That never happened before Ashton and hasn’t continued since he left. Not sure who’s master plan it was to think we could replicate Chelsea in signing a load of youngsters, loan them out then try to flog them at a profit. Ultimately Ashton was given far too much freedom to do what he wanted and that has taken the last few years to sort out.
  16. Ipswich signed a silly amount of players when Ashton first arrived. A continuation of what he was doing here. Trading as he calls it. He hasn’t really been there that long but he’s already had to pay off a number of players that were signed by himself. It didn’t really go well under Paul Cook. The “trading” has slowed right down under McKenna. Maybe MA’s realised that he’s hit the jackpot in appointing him as head coach and is trying to stay out of the way. I remember Ipswich fans getting concerned by the lack of signings in the summer but if McKenna is of the same opinion as Nigel Pearson, that you don’t just bring in players for the sake of it, that they need to be an improvement on what you already have, then maybe Ashton has had to change his ways so that he doesn’t upset McKenna. If they go up this year then fair play to them. Incredible achievement. But if they don’t, and McKenna gets poached, they could be in a mess. He really seems to be the real deal. When you think of the likes of Wes Burns, Ladapo, Kayden Jackson, Luongo, Morsy, Lee Evans, Harness, Cameron Burgess, Dominic Ball, Sone Aluko, Hladky. Most of those either spent the majority of their careers in league 1/2 or were squad players at other championship clubs. Not sure I’d particularly want any of them at City but KMc has got them all on board with his system and has them flying. Very impressive.
  17. Could Meerholz be the lad tinnion said we’d had an approach from a premier league team from?
  18. Those 16 houses behind the atyeo probably cost more than 182 red brick terraced houses in Blackpool
  19. Probably the Loans Physio’s car. Been brought back as we’re short staffed at the moment.
  20. Want Ryan Mason No idea who it’ll be. Somebody that would only get an opportunity at this level with Bristol City as nobody else would even consider them.
  21. Darnell Bile, The lad guilty of head butting another player, got an 8 month ban. After his ban he got a transfer from St Etienne to AC Milan so it’s not affected his career too much.
  22. After watching Somerset U14’s get tanked by Gloucestershire yesterday we went to Pizzucci on Gloucester Road and it was one of the best pizza’s I’ve ever eaten. A really cool place, not been open long and a sister restaurant of Bosco Pizzeria. They do 16” pizzas too. Highly recommend
