  1. They don't need anything bigger than the Memorial Ground as they can't fill that. They also have a long history of less than 8000 crowds and dwindling support.
  2. They could rent FGR present ground when FGR move to their spanking new ground. Then they could also be the smaller club in a two team town.
  3. The thought of the gas sharing with Newport county sent Newport into lockdown.
  4. There is a big difference between us and the gas HAVING to rent to survive. They sold eastville because they were skint and ended up renting it . They rented Bath because they could'nt afford the rent increase at eastville. They left Bath to share then take over the Memorial Ground(thanks to dodgy board member) They pay rent to the fake sheik because he owns the ground as security till he builds houses on it.
  5. They've also never had a ground that they have'nt had to pay rent on.
  6. Like a number of other clubs , Wycombe were wearing the "unique famous 1/4 ers" before the Gas. I recall a board room member claimed ( in the sunday Independent ) they copied Wycombe's quarters because they wanted to be noticed.
  7. He also bought a second hand large screen TV from Sir Steve, although he did forget it needed a frame and power to make it work.
  8. Didnt they say they would be Real Madrid of the vanerama, after Barcelona of the basement division went bums up ?
  9. My understanding was that the whole family wealth was in the region of 80 million.
  10. Hollowhead scarpered to Grimsby in the basement division rather than go to the camp site. He even claims to have put his own money into the club, to keep him as far away from the blue few.
  11. I thought Wally ran a travel company ,thus making him a travel agent. Not the best time to be a travel agent and certainly not going to make the millions needed to support a tin pot outfit like the pikeys.
  12. They only need a couple of goal posts and a tent or two for changing and its finished.
  13. Swindon. Been in prem and won the League cup. Nice roundabouts.
  14. BRFC on the footballs ? They must have stolen them from Blackburn rovers or Berwick Rangers.
  15. Because of the lockdown, the care homes are not letting them loose .
  16. I'm sure all manc U fans/plastics would love the prem season to be null and void. To rob their hated Liverpool rivals from rightly winning the title and to mask their own pathetic failings. I wonder how many of those that also are in favour of the season being scrapped, in either , of the divisions, do so because their team have had a crap season ? Bolton, Gas, or any team in danger of being relegated . As for football being just a game ? It has'nt been for decades. Its a business and like every other business it revolves around money.
  17. Paul Cheesley went to Whitehouse junior school in Hartcliffe and lived in Greenditch ave. Hartcliffe. Before going to Norwich.
  18. I see the Bears had 26,399 for the game against Bath. So the two best supported teams in Bristol play at Ashton Gate. Didn't the egg chasers average 16,000 last season ? If the women's team continue to improve on their attendances that would make the Chernobyl residents Bristol 4th team.
  19. Didn't Lee Johnson say that there is No such agreement at the time Bodin was tenuously linked to us before he jumped ship ?
  20. A classic example of a Gashead opening his gob before engaging his one and only brain cell. The gift that just keeps on giving. Well done 15er.
  21. The gash conveniently forget that our 1976 squad not only went on to play in the Top league but spent four seasons there. In fact it was the 2nd time our club had been in the Top flight. No doubt the tea ladies and ground staff also joined them .
