  1. Another manager 'learning his trade' in the championship......................
  2. Do the injuries mean that the other players in the squad cannot grasp the basics of playing football? Passing, crossing, movement off the ball and ball control.......at the moment we are pretty poor at all of them and horrible to watch.
  3. It always comes to a head after a run of defeats coupled with terrible performances. Whilst we were winning games I usually felt at the end that how the bloody hell did we win that and think how we had a massive slice of good fortune. But that only papers over the cracks and you can't be lucky every week with uninspiring football. Injuries have hit us hard but surely the players in the squad that come in should have a reasonable enough skill set that would allow them to control and pass the ball to their own players, cross a ball properly without continually overhitting or hitting the first ma
  4. Rotherham played to their strengths and we played to our weaknesses.......................
  5. Would much prefer to see him as an out and out 9 though, wasted playing wide because he obviously doesn't enjoy it and he's far more of a threat in and around the box.
  6. The first four names fighting for a place for me.
  7. Just such a good engine on him. Superb tonight, nicked balls away from players and always playing quick balls to a player in a RED shirt. He's been a standout for a few games now.
  8. Just perhaps the Blackburn and Swansea managers not putting him in their squads have the same thoughts about him as DH may have. Could be that he thinks a loan move could kick start his career and he comes back here a more rounded player or that he just doesn't trust or rate him. Apart from a few odd games I think the latter could be right.
  9. He was in the Monaco first team squad for six league games (3 on the bench) and played in 3 CL games at 17. He's only 19 now so why do we expect him to come on for 9 minutes and run the show. Reading were far better than us all over the pitch and far more skilful on the ball. I would sooner get HNM up to speed playing in a functional MF than bring on Brunt who looks far from fit and offers very little.
  10. Pato the 'Great Pretender'........sometimes sublime but lacks consistency. Yesterday was a case in point, makes very little effort to make a decent tackle and track players and he was a complete luxury which made it worse by the fact he played the whole game.
  11. Strange, but as well as Forest played 2nd half I still didn't think we would lose. We seem much more positive and are so much better to watch. Breath of fresh air...........
  12. I hold my hands up for another inept performance following last weeks debacle.I picked the team based on the fact when we play 5 a side in training the players are comfortable in all areas of the pitch. I try to select a team that no pundit or even member of my staff can work out to keep them on their toes so that's a positive. We will work hard in training this week and the players who have once again let me down will work even harder. We go again next week......................
  13. Midfield was a complete shambles. The passing was abysmal and so was ball retention. What the hell do they do at training all week if after half a dozen or so nothing passes the ball ends up with Kalas or Baker just punting it long. Haven't had a Saturday totally ruined for months............................until today.
  14. In fairness the bar had not been set that high for him to be better than he has been of late but he was okay today. It seems MF continues to be our weakness no matter how many we play in there. Give the ball away too cheaply and too easily knocked off the ball. Much improved all round today though.
