  1. I hold my hands up for another inept performance following last weeks debacle.I picked the team based on the fact when we play 5 a side in training the players are comfortable in all areas of the pitch. I try to select a team that no pundit or even member of my staff can work out to keep them on their toes so that's a positive. We will work hard in training this week and the players who have once again let me down will work even harder. We go again next week......................
  2. Midfield was a complete shambles. The passing was abysmal and so was ball retention. What the hell do they do at training all week if after half a dozen or so nothing passes the ball ends up with Kalas or Baker just punting it long. Haven't had a Saturday totally ruined for months............................until today.
  3. In fairness the bar had not been set that high for him to be better than he has been of late but he was okay today. It seems MF continues to be our weakness no matter how many we play in there. Give the ball away too cheaply and too easily knocked off the ball. Much improved all round today though.
  4. It's just a pity he's feeding off scraps..........
  5. Just watched Pat Lams aftermatch interview, simple, true and to the point. Lee Johnson please watch how a Head coach conducts an interview that the public and fans alike can actually understand.
  6. The table tends to 'lie' about what position teams are in until the very end when it becomes the truth. Are we in a false position now? Some say we are, some say we are 'punching above our weight', others think we are lucky. It could be a mixture of all 3. Personally I am astounded we are still 7th with everything still to play for.
  7. I go back to the old Ashton Gate, then the newer one and finally the fantastic stadium we have now. The matchday experience is a drudge currently because of the football on show but I do agree with you about the away fans but please let's never go back to the so say 'good old days' they really weren't.........
  8. Don't let facts get in the way of a false statement..........whatever next.
  9. How old are your generation......................trench warfare ended in 1918.
  10. He was appointed the same year as LJ was at City and has got Sheffield United 3 promotions with a lot less money than LJ has had at his disposal so I really don't get your analogy.
  11. Is it any wonder we look disjointed and looking like Sunday league players. Our coaching staffs previous jobs were at Kerala Blasters,Walsall, Oldham and Barnsley and have all previously worked with our current head coach. Compare this to Pat Lam and his staff and it's a different world.
  12. I watched the game on Robins TV and I thought we were very poor. Totally overrun and when we did get the ball we gave it straight back to them. Leeds were in poor form leading up to our game but we gave them the initiative from the start with our formation that left us chasing shadows. How we only lost by one was nothing short of miraculous thanks to Bentley. We looked lost with no plan in the first half and although we were better in the second I couldn't see us scoring.
  13. The table never tells the 'truth' until the season is over, before then it lies on a weekly basis.
  14. I really thought we were heading for a hammering after the start we made. We were hammered but thankfully the score did not reflect their dominance.
  15. I still feel a lot of the unrest is purely down to our home form and performances.A huge majority never go to away games where we have an amazing record compared to fairly dismal home performances .LJ has certainly improved our away form in 4 seasons from poor to very good but our home form has not improved nearly enough. To get play offs or top 6 the win rate needs to be above 50% at home but is below that since he's been here.
