  1. I'm not sure why I keep opening these posts. I know what they'll be, but there's always this morbid curiosity.
  2. Mitrovic when Willian got the red card:
  3. While I agree Max deserved a new contract, I don't think he deserved one until 2026 based on this season. Lets hope that doesn't come to bite us, in moving him on.
  4. Might already be here in Haikin, hope he'll get some game time at some point. He was/is very well-regarded and a big part of Bodo-Glimt's success in Europe (and the league).
  5. Looks like it's Robins TV, so presumably they have paid and are outside the UK.
  6. The rotation is just smart squad management. We don't have anything to play for really, and it's a chance to give other people a game going into the international break. Mehmeti might be a little distracted ahead of his Albania debut, so that might be a reason to give someone else a go. Weimann and (presumably) Wells are also in their national squads so perhaps it makes better man management to limit their involvement so they can come back from the international break a little fresher. Wouldn't personally recommend the Malago, though.
  7. I might be moving to Sydney soon, so this is good news!
  8. Woolford was 6ft tall, hairband, winger, gangly and liked to go on a dribble and (usually) lose the ball. As I remember it, he could occasionally pull something brilliant out of the bag. Millen and McInnes years - I know a lot of people have blanked that out so don't blame you.
  9. He reminds me of Martin Woolford, might that be who you're thinking of?
  10. Yeah I think Alex has his sights set higher than a yo-yo club, unless they make him promises about being able to be let go on the cheap if they get relegated or a club in European football want him - but I doubt someone paying 25mil would want to put those clauses in.
  11. Burnley the most likely of those, but can you really see them paying the 25 mil required?
  12. Or just, you know, break out the sewing machine and sew the badges onto the kits before sending them over. I don't think the kit looks crap, just that one element tbh.
  13. Not disputing this - I'm well aware they said they'll have a proper version soon. I'm just saying that it's been a few weeks, it can't be that hard to have a proper version of the home kit for playing staff at a minimum by now. We played our biggest game in 6 years the other night in a prototype and yesterday's game on Sky in it. Looks pretty tinpot, to be honest. Disclaimer: Not a doom and gloomer, I'm happy with the way the club is operating at the moment in regards to transfers, youth intake, manager etc.
  14. I noticed that even the players kits yesterday had printed on badges rather than embroidered ones. Looks like cheap knock-off stuff. I get that it will take a while to hit the shelves for fans but you'd think they could sow a badge on for a new client?!
  15. Nice cameo from Omar Taylor-Clarke, looking forward to seeing more of him a few great passes towards the end there.
  16. To be fair he did go for millions, 2 millions to Notts Forest. Was loaned to Olympiacos, then back to Blackpool in Jan.
  17. Okay, well, if you asked me 3.5 years ago would we have picked up a 16-year-old kid from Guernsey and then be asking for 20-25 million for him three years down the line, I would have told you that was impossible to believe. The point I'm trying to make is we might not need to replace him with an external player in the summer, that there are plenty of players that can play that AMC role at the club (including one we just signed in Mehmeti). In the meantime, Benarous might well come good (even if Scott leaves in the summer). I'm not saying Benarous goes straight in to playing 40 games next season, that is unrealistic (but not impossible).
  18. We might just have an extra season of Alex back on loan, so he might just get that time.
  19. I think we already have a player that might step into Alex's role, and that's Benarous. Of course, his recovery from injury remains to be seen, but he certainly seems to have talent.
  20. Cornick reminds me of Martyn Woolford on an off night, at the moment.
  21. To be fair a midlife crisis is usually more dangerous/costly/mentally scarring than buying a rubber robin mask and over-posting on a club forum.
  22. Alright, we get it, you bought a rubber mask in the shape of an animal the club is associated with.
  23. Matty James has a 13 for corners, haven't checked them all but it was the obvious one to check.
  24. So I found what seems to be a before (obviously if his potential has increased that's the main thing): Changes are (compared to FM 2023 at release): Technical Crossing +2 First Touch +1 Tackling +2 Mental Anticipation +3 Composure +2 Determination +4 Flair +2 Off the Ball +1 Positioning +3 Work Rate +3 Physical Balance +3 The buffs to his mental stats are the real surprise, really. 18 determination is a big thing in FM.
  25. He was pretty good before the patch (and was decent in FM 22 too), have you got a "before" to compare it to?
