  1. I’ve been pretty critical of Manning but credit where it’s due we’re in great form at the moment and it’s actually been enjoyable to watch us in recent games for the first time since he’s taken over! Hopefully we keep it up and take some momentum in to next season. As always with City consistency is the issue so the jury is still out but finally some promising signs.
  2. A lot of it comes down to momentum imo. Like Ipswich this season (and so nearly us in 2008.)
  3. That’s not how I recall it at all. Thought he was a really decent player for us for years. His form dropped off a cliff after that failed move to Soton.
  4. I seem to remember him taking exception to Danny Wilson getting a good reception on his first return to AG. Always felt the bloke has a strangely inflated ego. Its quite scary when you consider someone who failed so spectacularly as a manager at league one level for us has suddenly taken over a more senior position at the club without any real protest.
  5. From what i understand it was Tinnion who ran to JL to complain about King starting (in a game which we won!) Either way it’s a shambles really.
  6. I think it’s a bit poor from him tbh. However it definitely says more about our “management team” than it does him. Regardless still not the sort of tweet I’d expect from someone with his experience.
  7. I’m not sure if I fall into the majority or minority tbh, but I find Manning to be a nobody. I don’t want to start a new thread but I would genuinely love to know where do people see us finishing next season? I fear we did most of our “business” in January (Bird, Stokes etc.) I have zero faith in a leadership model that includes a manger sacked after a shameful defeat at league one level. I would absolutely take survival next season now if offered which is quite depressing.
  8. Let’s look at the positives we’ve endured almost 12% of his reign.
  9. I hate to be reactionary as I know how fickle football is. After having a season ticket for 20ish years the last two seasons I’ve not had one due to new work commitments. Next season I was planning to get one again but as things are I honestly don’t think I can justify the cost if “Manning Ball” is whats on offer
  10. Positive: there’s a decent chance we won’t be relegated this season due to the points accumulated by Nige.
  11. Personally I would get rid. The least inspirational coach/manager imaginable. Unfortunately it doesn’t matter as long as the “decision makers” remain.
  12. For me the worst performance in recent memory. 0-1 a miracle considering we stood off them as though they were 08/09 Barcelona.

    KFC

Read on Twitter earlier that it’s apparently not re opening. Wouldn’t be surprised if that’s the case. I’ve avoided it for years it’s absolutely rancid in there.
  14. Couldn’t agree more. Of course I want us and Manning to do well… but after 20+ years of having a season ticket I can genuinely say I’ve never been more disinterested in the club as a whole. I miss the days when a defeat would absolutely ruin my entire weekend!
  15. From the horses mouth allegedly. Suppose we will know by 2pm.
  16. Tough game today against an in form team. As if our injury problems weren’t bad enough I’m hearing that Matty James is out for the foreseeable with a ligament injury!

    Naismith

To be fair JB never had the positional sense to play LB in a four (any MOTD he played there for Fulham proves my point ) Naismith is a strange one, very good footballer but has a mistake in him per game. Today and Leicester last week is a prime example. Not convinced he’s a CB!
  18. I’d be stunned if anyone offered him anything close to that!
  19. We would have unknowingly crossed paths in the Royal Oak!

    Playoffs

In hindsight it’s fair to argue Dean has done more than either of the other two since… who would have thought at the time!
  21. Did anyone else attend the charity game at the mem today? A lot of money raised for a great cause! On a (petty) side note I still can’t quite get over a 3 tier stand with what must be less than 1000 seats ?
  22. Hasn’t he been injured for a large chunk of the last 18 months? And barely played this season in France. That said he was always a great athlete so after a full pre season would hopefully be firing on all cylinders.

    Kane wilson

https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/bristol-city-kane-wilson-pearson-8340385?utm_source=linkCopy&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=sharebar Could the comment about egos be a slight dig or am I thinking too much into it?
  24. Congrats to him. Is he a midfielder then? Wasn’t there today and genuinely know nothing about him
  25. Whoever was announcing did an abysmal job. Was actually quite embarrassing.
