  2. We're the park end ,we're the park end ,we're the park end aston gate - in reply to the east end - open end just wouldn't of worked
  3. Loved the parkend , if you stood at the back you could look down on the away fans milling about buying tea and coffee, and generally being boisterous, always remember coventry late 70s and a large proportion of them (200 odd) were punks who never moved from being slumped against the walls behind their terrace where they witnessed not one minute of football - was odd to witnessas as a 12 year old ...... i suspected at the time that drink and being pretty vacant was involved. . Always remember coppers asking you to open your hands looking for missiles and the joyus confetti years round about the time ultra magazine was about ..fun daze indeed .- the Atyeo was a massive disappointment .
  4. Saw the coventry automatics (the specials) support the clash in 78 at locarno , remember a very pissed off terry hall covered in spit ... it was grim . Talking of all out violence -crass at trinity hall wasnt for the faint hearted
  5. Are you sure not confusing tony with tommy robinson ?
  6. I was a couple of metres away and to be honest i just thought the statue climbing was just cringy and predictable- i was more concerned about a FULL can of stella that nearly took my head off . Fence statue off with stewards in attendance and job done , luckily no one got hurt or statue damaged and all in all it was a good afternoon - and just for the record im a so called 'remoaner 'but found that brexit comment as a feeble irrelevant cheap shot .
  7. Never convinced with the river divide thing , growing up in south Gloucestershire in the 70s was always split pretty evenly , we used to catch a special footy coach on winterbourne high street from dursley via yate to the gate . Always been told theres a large unhealthy gas support in Weston super mare too ???
  8. Ha - i know just seen this myself and havent thought about him for years ... hmm now where can i go with this ? Did i ever mentioned the time i saw donald trump in the williams stand ?
  9. Not football, but standing on my usual spot in the eastend watching american evangelical preacher billy graham was just f+*kin weird ....seem to remember it was free and there was sod all else to do .
  10. Never been a fan of the tinnion is a shithead and also we are the people chant ... in fact ialways made me cringe loved singing were the parkend were the parkend were the parkend aston gate to be replied back by the eastend
