  1. Costa….ffs. I’ve lost some respect for him now. In all seriousness, I personally wouldn’t be surprised to see him stay. He’s actually comfortable with the ball at his feet which LM will want from anyone. Williams however, I’d be truly amazed to see kept on.
  2. I think he’s actually getting far more invested already than he thought he would, and dare I said more than he wanted to as well. He’s spoken so much about staying level, not really celebrating wins, not really dwelling on losses etc. George from NTT20 said to us not to expect any show of passion, the odd clap here and there but all a very transactional relationship. First win he’s giving it the fist pumps to s82, and I think either at the forum or in the post match said he basically shouldn’t have done it and almost felt a bit embarrassed as it’s out of character. Has done it basically every time ever since and is very animated on the touchline, again much more than we were told to expect. Even last night he was basically slagging off the ref in the media post match. I can’t remember who on here said it at the time, but I maybe think he underestimated the club. Not saying we are giants and AG is a cauldron or whatever, but (no disrespect) but compared to MK & Oxford we are getting 3x the crowds, our away followings are far far bigger and the expectations and challenge is bigger too. I think we’re well on our way to having a far more emotive and personable LM that fans will warm to more, and certainly not the 100% perfect pro license taught, Chat GPT answers and mentality.
  3. It was a question I put to Tinnion at the forum, which for some reason generated a load of laughter which summed that night up tbh (maybe off subject). He didn’t really answer it tbh (other than say we were lucky to win the CC game, which is a bit odd). But I know for a fact Tinns went to watch Oxford at least twice after the games we played against them. Probably put as scouting games, but really in hindsight were likely to be to have eyes on how his teams play.
  4. Was how I saw it tbh. They were really impressive, moved the ball really well, only needed one or two passes to get really high up the pitch. Had some near misses at 2-1 up, and then they’ve conceded whilst their keeper is injured, then again from a big deflection. We’d probably be saying the same on here if the shoe was on the other foot tbh.
  5. Was a proper “playing for a contract” type performance. Fair play to him.
  6. The keeper got injured just before Mehmeti shot, twigged it from a GK that he was feeling his left leg. Couldn’t be more perfect timing. And then we score off a huge deflection for the third. Cinema.
  7. Hahahaha **** me the last 3 years of bad luck at home reversed in the space of a game
  8. Tbf I don’t think a keeping howler changes much. However it’s very welcome!
  9. Tinnion, forehead covered in sweat, currently longingly eyeing up Rosenior. How they’ve started is exactly what the club thought hiring Manning would turn us into overnight
  10. Walked past the old pasta loco site yesterday, sign on the door says a new Thai tapas place opening there soon.
  11. Sounds like the exact same vibe as the hen & chicken then. Set the stall out early that there’s almost no point in even asking any questions, get shit answers regardless, go home thinking what’s the ******* point. I used to find genuine intrigue in this stuff, in hindsight due to how the manager or seniors spoke rather than anything actually club related, now I really couldn’t even care less if I tried.
  12. Have heard they’ve both got the sack after yesterdays loss
  13. I’ve said it many times, but I really do find it interesting the amount of weight that is put on that Wolves game. Lose one game late on at the end of December, and that causes us to fall apart for an entire second half of a season? Maybe the team wasn’t half as good as we thought, if that’s the case.
  14. Palace home Palace away United home The top 3 for me.
  15. Can only assume it’s because it’s closer to Liverpool & money. No one is going to change that club, yet so many keep trying.
  16. Think there’s a fair few off field things he’s been reprimanded on, yet still continues to do (I.e doesn’t listen/take the lectures seriously) which is why he’s been cut adrift. Would be a club decision, I’d imagine, so LM made aware of it.
  17. And exactly why Tinnion was spot on with “the first objective is to make them a first team footballer with us, the second is to make them a league footballer somewhere else”. Is why I lose no sleep over the likes of Towler and Low being ‘let go’ ‘early’. They’re out forging careers and establishing themselves as very competent league one footballers aged 20 & 21. Fantastic. Really brilliant stories. Is that better than Joe Morrell being handcuffed to the club, making ONE league start for us, spending 4 seasons on loan at different clubs, and then finally settling in league one aged 24? Every day of the week. The goal should be as much having players talking about as “they came through at Bristol City’s academy? Wow they must be decent then”, as it is “wow Bristol City have a load of academy players in the first team, don’t they?”
  18. Think it’s becoming very clear that the deal for O’Neills is a pretty poor one all round, so desperately trying to take any cash from the higher level value sponsorships wherever possible, even to the detriment of the ‘brand’. The watches of bath sleeves on the home shirt look even worse than amateur, don’t see stuff that poorly designed even on a Sunday leave side.
