  1. Posted already on the big thread. No need for another one. Scans well though I must admit.
  2. Sorry if I've missed it but didn't hear Hamer use 'The Crazy Gang' line in the interview. Anyone got a link please?
  3. Well babber. A few City mates of mine have been up to the Memorial Stadium over the last couple of seasons on free booze corporate events, and have reported back that the standard is shocking. Maybe I'll have to get some jabs and see for myself? However, as you say, things can change very quickly, last season at one stage could have turned out to have gone horrendously wrong. But, over 6000 days later, you are still in our shadow. That is very slow change, and may it long continue. Up The City
  4. Just a gentle reminder. It is now 6,102 days and 66 minutes, precisely, since The Gash were above us in the football league. I thank you.
  5. https://www.timeanddate.com/countdown/soccer?iso=20001028T1645&p0=299&msg=CITY+above+rovers Happy Colin Daniel day everyone.
  6. The only table that counts is the one at the end of the season. Sag heads know that only too well. Fingers crossed (only 5 of them though) that we stay up.
  7. Don't count your chickens. They've got a relatively easy run in. Could easily attain another 20 odd points and get promoted via the play offs. Can we buy some more of their players to stop this happening?
  8. I'll show you some respect gashead. You've got an absolute craphole of a stadium. In fact, you can't even call it a stadium. No new modern stadium on the way soon, if at all. No money coming from your minted camel jockey owners. No decent players bought through various transfer Windows. Poor training facilities. Constantly messed about by your board/owners. Do you have any sort of academy set up close to ours? Half the number of paying fans. Even your 'supporters' club have their hand in the till! Sold your star striker to your local rivals. Even non-league a couple of seasons ago, how laughable. That's the positives! But for all that, you have a team playing semi decent football and holding their own in the league below us - at the present time - after successive promotions, how good is that. Your fans have generally stuck with you. Your players seem to have some team spirit and play for each other and - most importantly - the manager. Without any significant spending you are competing in your division. For that, I show you, your - sensible - fellow fans, and your club, respect. Jeez, that hurt. Now sod off, play rubbish, always be in our shadow, and God forbid don't make the play-offs and get promoted. Otherwise we most likely won't have that local derby next season. Has it really come to this?! Up The City ps not page 3 now, but from mammary sorry memory, there's not a lot wrong with page 3
  9. 4-4-2 at last. But away from home, at Derby...not sure. Poor Magnusson, he's been one of our best and doesn't even make the bench, terrible decision. I hope we don't resort to lumping it forward from the back, because without Wilbs or Milan to hold it up or win the headers the ball will keep coming straight back at us. Fingers crossed that at the end of the game that we're singing.....'You do know what you're doing'.
  10. Well, not one to normally gloat, but here goes. If Carlsberg made footballing weekends this was the one. The six fingered, inbred, delusional, blue few lost in the cup -again- to a non-league side. Which is where they actually belong. The Mighty Reds on the other hand won 2 nil at home in a great game that saw an absolutely cracking goal. Add to that, that I bet £20 at 40-1 on City winning 2 nil with Lee Tomlin first scorer, well, happy days indeed! Sometimes, it really is ' The beautiful game'. Pass me another Cider.
  11. Sell him or drop him. JET as others recently posted, is a liability. He's liable to spur us on to more victories and how can we have a good moan then? I'm surprised SOD hasn't tried stifling his performances by playing him out of position. Poor management indeed.
  12. Hello,Brian(you don't know what you're doing)Tinnion actually transformed the game with his skill and made Orr and Dinning-apart from others-better for it. I questioned his tactical decisions with the substitutions, but didn't slag him off like a lot of people by singing out against him-shame on you. Once we got going with Lita,Goodfellow(very impressive)and Tinnion on the field it was a different game. It's not easy is it,managing, but Tins-again-deserves credit for sorting it out,I think he's a lot better than some people give him credit for. IMHO unless the central midfield get's better quickly then Tins has to start,I know it's not ideal with the manager on the pitch but he transformed the game with his drive and skill when he came on. Great thing hindsight as stated, also staying positive and not moaning at every opportunity. No wonder some call this the borum, getting boring all the negativity from some people at times.
