  1. Ah! Many thanks for your replies!
  2. Apologies if this has already been asked and answered, but I’m not on here too often these days. I’m a little confused that there is an 18 day gap till the next game, and yet there is then FIVE games in the space of a similar period in April! Can anyone explain this?
  3. I don't get the support for Warnock. The bloke has proved time and again that he a merely a mouthpiece and loves the media. I don't personally know the bloke, but from his body language and his public interviews, he doesn't impress me and I don't warm to him..
  4. We should've signed Nigel Adkins when he was sacked by Southampton last January, instead of signing O'Driscoll....
  5. ATTENDANCE vs. GATE: When I were a lad, they never used to quote the "attendance", it was always termed "the gate", which I assumed was the number of people through the turnstiles. Subtle difference IMO.
  6. errrmm... I did say that, didn't I?
  7. Holloway can't possibly be given the job - the appointment would be too divisive amongst fans... the Board cannot risk alienating sections of the fans when they have already aliented a large portion by their mismanagement of the club and their incompetence in allowing the club to slide to the depths it has - Holloway would be too risky... Personally, I think he is an overrated charlatan who loves the sound of his own voice, and he doesn't fit my criteria of a manager who would be good for BCFC...
  8. Holloway is not the answer... the man is a publicity-loving goofball...
  9. Good riddance - all we need now is the board to resign too...
  10. Sky has recently bought Virgin Media TV so all Sky HD channels will be available on Virgin shortly - though I assume there will be a price hike!
  11. The City badge is only a copy of the Bristol Coat of Arms. As long as you're not touting it commercially and it's for your own personal use, just use that and add the 'Bristol City 1897' bit over the 'virtute et industria' using photo edit software. There's a good image of it here: Bristol Coat of Arms ample size for iPhone...
  12. Yep! Use Novatech all the time for my business. Haven't dipped into Windows 7 yet, but have used all versions of Windows since Windows 3.0 and was a DOS and CP/M user prior to that. I wouldn't say I was a "fanboy" (whatever that means) - I'm just admire their styling and the fact the O/S is UNIX-based (which I am a fan of). I haven't plucked up the courage to go totally Mac yet because of my business (though I do own a Macbook). My frustration with Windows has been growing for many years and I decided that the next time I have to reinstall Vista for some obscure reason or another, I won't and will simply buy a Mac and have done with it. Maybe Windows 7 is good I haven't tried it in anger yet, but generally Windows/Microsoft have had a monpoly on Office Systems for too long and as such have been very complacent with some of their products.
  13. The Mac O/S is built on the UNIX operating system, a PROPER O/S, unlike the trash that Microsoft dishes out and calls Windows. However, if you are addicted to Windows, since Apple have been producing Macs based on the Intel CPU, it's a piece of cake to run Windows on a Mac - you can even dual run Mac O/S and Windows if you want... though why anyone would want to run Windows on a Mac is beyond me!
