  1. Oh bore off. We are 3 nil up and have hardly got out of first gear, some people love a good old moan when it comes to England don’t they ?
  2. Indeed. Would barely have an impact at championship level.
  3. Got to be honest i hope he fails miserably (which there is probably a fair chance he will do) absolutely despise Villa and their obnoxious fans.
  4. He certainly isn’t the fantastic goalkeeper many on here make him out to be I don’t think, i wouldn’t say he is part of the problem per se but if there is opportunity to cash in on him and get a few million i think we should without hesitation to be honest.
  5. Not for me. Rushing home from work and then not really having anytime for that pre match beer and build up that makes a Saturday 3pm kick off. Playing away on a friday night aswell.. needing to probably have to take a half day at work aswell? Nah!
  6. I didn’t catch the interview but bugger me it doesn’t sound good does it. Genuinely think we will go down this season - gut feeling im sorry to say.
  7. Indeed. Bravo to him. Ashton would have been ducking for cover now the rat!

Rather that then go down playing pretty to be honest. Relegation to the third tier would kill the club this time around IMO.

Agreed. I wouldn’t be against Warnock coming in. At this level their are few better and that is not my opinion speaking that is facts speaking.

**** sake whats going on then?!
  12. Its the hope that the ‘’good times will come again’’ that keeps me so invested aswell. You only have to look at Coventry a club that were in such dire straights both on and off the field not so long ago, they weren’t even playing in their home city FFS - it makes what we are going through now look so trivial but look where they are now.. if the good times can come back for Cov then they have to be on the horizon for us surely?
  13. Was a huge amount of money for a club our size, i still maintain that Chelsea had our pants down a bit really we probably paid £3 or 4 million too much for him IMO. In Lansdown and the boards defence though they probably thought they were doing the right thing at the time by making a big money statement like that, you could say they were appeasing the fanbase as lets be honest if we hadn’t had a big summer of spending people would have been asking where the hell has the £20 mill for Webster gone? It’s a tricky one that ultimately boils down to very bad Recuitment in the summer of 2019. Plenty of money in the pot that was spent horrendously badly.
  14. Agreed and i have never looked at it like that. As you said why shouldn’t the rest of the clubs without PP not be able to pump in the equivalent £ if they have owners that can afford too? The whole reason for PP was so that the teams coming down were sufficiently supported financially and didn’t go bust as a result of being relegated which is fair enough but why does it stop the other clubs in the league being able to match them financially? Something needs to change IMO.
  15. West Ham are everything (on the pitch) that i would love us to be. Fair play to them.
  16. Flares/pyrotechnics have been banned in this country for many years now. They are still used widespread on the continent though and many European clubs have shown that you can actually have safe pyro shows without fans being injured.
  17. Hopefully he is okay. It says he was treated for his injuries and was able to watch the rest of the match in the ground which would suggest that any injuries he had were minor.
  18. Its a distinct possibility. Shakespeare may just not fancy the gig here either regardless of Pearson being here or not.
  19. So in a sense it is still possible to spend above and beyond your means to get out of league one? Agree with other posters that its sad that we are even contemplating it this early in the season..
  20. Deffo is a feel good factor at that club as like you have rightly said that atmosphere at the Ricoh is traditionally dire. Still looked half empty yesterday though, I can’t ever recall them actually selling out? Im sure they have done since the ground has opened but it does always appear to be no more than 70% full..
  21. Fair play to them to be honest, if any club deserves a bit of success after everything they have been through then it is Coventry.
  22. Wilder just been appointed by Boro.. be interesting to see how he gets on there
  23. And this is my problem with him. Nobody disputes his qualities on the ball but what you do without the ball is just as important. He needs to massively improve that part of his game
  24. You also have to remember that whilst its a physiological issue for our players opposition players now know full well to expose it. Every team we now play against know to throw the kitchen sink at us in the last few mins and chances are you will get something out of the game. Not sure what the answer is, i think we’d be naive to think it isn’t the topic of conversation on the training ground. They must do drills and try and work on.
  25. Totally agree. I do actually feel that after the poor job he did at Boro Warnock may finally be washed up anyway to be honest.
