  1. Most of those games we were hanging on and playing poorly . We are now playing better and someone soon is going to get a real pasting from us. Lets look for the positives.
  2. These are just like telephone nos to most of us. The man on the street could live comfortably on a small percentage of SLs wealth. If you have enough money that 10 million is insignificant , then you will never have enough. But it's Steves money and he's earned it and it's up to him how he spends it and protects it. I'm the same as bcfc01, go somewhere warmer.
  3. Good for Roy 3year contract. 2 months work, get paid off, retire . Jobs a good un.
  4. Nigel is definitely building a head of steam with these players but we relying a lot on the younger players having enough to see the season out. We should be ok but I'll be a lot happier with a couple more quick wins under our belt. One problem that could arise later is if bigger clubs start looking at our youngsters and their heads get turned. Its up to Nigel and the coaches to keep them focused on the job in hand. The future could be so bright for them and this club, but the finances will call the shots as it always does. We may survive this season only to have to start again next year with another rebuild. I bl**dy enjoyed yesterday though!!
  5. I thought for Cardiffs second Max was afraid of crashing into the post. We play more possession football at the back with Max but we have 2 decent keepers to choose from.
  6. Last time I went everyone on my table was moaning about you!
  7. There is definitely a bit of oomph coming into our club. We are getting tougher and smarter on the pitch and Nige is making his statement off it too. My way or the highway!. Farewell nice, soft, comfortable Bristol City. At last.
  8. He is certainly shipping out the deadwood. Bumpy ride for 2 years I think but it needs doing.
  9. Mitrovic is very good but he's also very clever. Twice yesterday he outjumped our defenders by knocking them off balance before the ball arrived. It was more obvious on replays but not during live play therefore not spotted by the officials. I think had there been VAR active yesterday, the scoreline may have been different. He won't get away with that in the prem. Having said that, we need to toughen up more and be more clever ourselves, and for God's sake let's stop making it so easy for the opposition to get crosses in. We always stand off. It boils my p$ss. All teams play the flanks against us cos they've sussed us out.
  10. You've opened yourself to some gas jokes here Rob.
  11. That's fine as long as he doesn't get injured. But I agree about playing him as striker, it's his best position.
  12. I think things could change for us with a little luck. Just a goal going in off Martins backside, or Wells shoulder, or even Semenyo closing down their keeper, could suddenly lift the spirits of that player. Surely sometime this season someone, other than Weimann, will score 2 in a game.
  13. Just when we can't afford it eh?
  14. My thinking also. We always try to "rebuild" rather than "top up" what we have.
  15. I'm not sorry it's off but I can see fixture problems if this continues to spread.
  16. Which is why I compared him to Martin who IMO has proved nothing this season, but appears un droppable.
  17. Give him a run of games to see what he can do when given a long enough run. We have done that with Martin this season so why not with Kasey Palmer? In and out the team with the occasional 15min sub appearance is not enough to judge. If we have to keep paying him we might as well play him. I think there is a player in there but I agree he hasn't proved himself yet, which is why I say give him some proper game time
  18. I'll pea myself if this goes wrong, cos it will.
  19. Take it you've not lost a loved one to this virus then? Why weren't you in town with your antivaxer mates ?
  20. Tells you something when you can't give them away. Nice gesture though.
  21. The highlighted bit represents my view. I am a triple jabbed, flu jabbed , masked wearer, hand washing, guidance follower, who is fed up to the back teeth with the current and incoming restrictions and would normally be at the match whatever. BUT, I have a partner who is vulnerable and she is my absolute priority. Yes I will be going out doing what I have to at this time of the year, but football is so insignificant in the greater scheme of things. Each to their own but please put things in perspective. Season greetings and good health to all.
  22. Imagine how few Sat 3pms if we were in the Prem?
  23. Especially if a quarter of them are kids for a quid. Bad marketing this time City!
