  1. There you go. What more do you want to know? Excellent post
  2. I’d retire the name I loved an AshtonYate contribution. Not sure how he would be taken today.
  3. @AshtonYate what do you think of the academy and our youth policy?
  4. It’s so sad. What’s difficult to remember is that when you are physically ill, it’s your mind that is rational and knows to seek help. When your mind is struggling, there is no rational part left that knows to seek help. A very close friend of mine took his life 18 months ago and I still think I wish we had talked more, but the truth is when you are struggling like this, it is that rational, controlling part of your existence that is failing. Just so sad.
  5. Great Goal. Wouldn’t it be great if for once, a player like this fulfilled their potential.
  6. That’s appears to be a good summary. Personally I haven’t got a clue what’s going on, what exactly Mark Ashton does (good or bad) who’s actually in charge off if the field and what are plan is. I almost would be happy to bury my hand in the sand and see what it all looks like in August. How brave !
  7. Great episode. Well done @Shtanley I like that that’s about as negative as Dave Skinner gets . We are worse than mid table though. If we start next season like this, we’re heading down. Again, whilst I understand that mid table in the championship is comparative good for us, It falls short of the expectation the club has created.
  8. Because the Ipswich post? To be fair Tom, you know you’re loved here. If the club have been giving you shit, I wish we could know. It’s not on if so.
  9. What a day! All so surreal. I know I was there but can’t actually remember it (for a change!)
  10. If you knew me personally then you’d know that in the end I always get excited about watching City. Not now. Quite frankly they don’t deserve it.
  11. Just watched this again. It’s unbelievable. In a way, I love it, but my god. What the **** has been allowed to go on by both Holden and Ashton? There are so many quotes in there which are damning and ask serious questions.
  12. Quite, both are the wrong answer. Its a shame we never picked something close to the right answer.
  13. Right now, with Pearson still likely to be appointed, I’m going to say I’d renew. But it’s a really close thing now. I’ve not felt this strongly for an awfully long time, not since Pulis post Colchester in the league cup. Even then I put that down to the exuberance of youth. I think the main reason i do is the fear that my 3 boys won’t love city like I do. Pathetic really. My dad stopped taking me when I was 12, after that we had to just catch the 44/45 into town and the 21/22 out.
  14. My anger of yesterday has distilled into a manic smile that sees me mutter ‘deary me’ from time to time. If Pearson isn’t appointed, I don’t think I’ll have the interest to follow events over the summer. A loyal, younger friend of ours said yesterday that is only the prospect of the out of contract players going that’ll spark interest. If Appleton s appointed and we resign most for ‘stability’ he won’t renew his ticket for the first time in almost 20 years. What a mess. Deary me.
  15. Well......we’ve ‘ad worse times an us?
  16. Absolutely fuming. Let us back for one last game, please, ******* wasters.
  17. He’s not. But this unbridled shit show is not of his creating. You’d have to look to the Lansdown’s and Ashton there really.
  18. I’m genuinely fuming Pete. I try to switch off after a game and get on with normal things. But I am genuinely angry. If we’d have been up there today (which we would) it would have been ugly. *****.
  19. I finally broke this game. I’d have been nicked or ejected if I’d have been there. It’s beyond just simply walking out a la Doncaster away under Gary Johnson.
  20. I still think Pearson is worth a decent stint over the summer and into next season. But if doesn’t work, I’d be at a loss as to what comes next.
  21. For the majority of the season I have given the benefit of the doubt to the players and believed that they had it in them to complete at this level. Im done with that now. They are lacking in quality and effort to the extent that it’s embarrassing. It is a god send that we aren’t in the stadium to let them know how ******* shit they have been. I am fuming. Did I expect a bit more of a ‘bounce’, under Pearson? Yes. But then I don’t think I appreciated the diabolical mess that has been allowed to fester and ferment. I would stick with Pearson though, get him in on a perm
