Wait till he signs the 2 year contract, then we’ll see the real deal

I cannot believe that by now Referrees are aware of the diving that goes on?
There centre was a great hulk and just threw himself to the floor.
Its a dive, not a foul. I would love to see them watch games back and honestly critique their performance

Have you not heard Dave ask a question?

Is it? If we lose we will be 11 or 14 points clear of the relgation zone, though the otib meltdown will be entertaining.
I know what @Marina's Rolls Roycemeans.
It’s a chance to guarantee 3 pts fir us and 0 for Reading who are in our close vacinity

I could have got this at Blackpool but it was cold so I went for a hot meat & potato pie, which was alright.
Another good & funny episode. The episode description makes it out that @Shtanley did it himself, but it was a surprise when it was revealed Harry was on there!
Our sub conscious works in mysterious ways!

With effectively the same bunch of players, Cooper managed to coax more out of the group and a superb run of form followed.
How 'magician' Steve Cooper transformed struggling Nottingham Forest to FA Cup heroes (msn.com)
I’m quite enjoying this now.
The two situations are different, but your general points are understandable.
The truth is nothing is going to change this season. If by October this year the points return and inconsistencies are the same, so imagine Pearson will be gone.
Then somebody new can be appointed that people can argue over

And Dave and Harry and everyone else.
This is my favourite City pod, this is another great episode.
Relatable, interesting contributors. Enjoyable content.
3 favourite things today.

‘Reading are in free for all’

Haven't our injuries been quite a lot better this season?
No!

Poor old LJ, he cannot win over certain fans, despite giving us our highest position in 10 years ?
We we’re leading Wolves on Boxing Day, having been to the league cup semi final and beating 4 premiership teams along the way.
We finished 11th
What am I missing?

With the greatest respect .............how can 11th to 8th not be progressive, it defies mathematical logic? I can only presume that U mean that under LJ, despite finishing higher in the table, in your opinion we were playing inferior football, compared to the previous season? Poor old LJ, he cannot win over certain fans, despite giving us our highest position in 10 years ?
No, I mean everything needs context.
Im amazed that being top on Boxing Day but then shitting out and finishing 11th is deemed as successful? I’d question the leadership skills of anyone who took solice in that. That is not a winners attitude.
We then shit out again the next year and threw away our playoff chances.
I’m probably wrong, but I’m sure we were just 3 points off of third in the February of 2020!!!
This has been done to death, but for me capitulating as we did, season after season, is repeated failure. In my opinion it is a defeatist attitude that would claim otherwise.

We had just finished 8th after finishing 11th the previous season.........it would have appeared a very strange and unpopular dismissal? I wonder if on the 31/05/19 ..... you would have been of the same opinion as your post on 06/02/22? I some how doubt it?
Probably
I never fell for the whole 11th to 8th was progress bit.
Both seasons we completely fell away.
In context we failed.
History now though.

Sorry to have lost you.
If you enjoyed Honor, Owers & Latham over Christmas give this week's special with Rob Newman a listen of you enjoy a spot of nostalgia:
https://foreverbristolcity.podbean.com/e/in-conversation-with-rob-newman/
I said myself yesterday that the pod content is becoming predictable akin to NP's predictable post match comments of we are where we are in the aftermath of another defeat
The Rob Newman podcast was really interesting.
We’ll worth a listen

I like the podcast.
I enjoy most City content. None of them are perfect, although OSIB is almost imperfectly perfect
The sound quality is the thing that lets it down.
-
Come on.
Did nobody else enjoy the comic element of it?
When Ian made that comment without any nuisance or irony or any attempt of illicit a response among listeners, I just burst our laughing.
I know he can be very rude but does nobody else take it with a pinch of salt?
I quite enjoy the podcast

I'm not sure what your post is trying to illustrate - but it's shows that all those who wanted LJ gone and were crying out for an experienced manager - it's really not that straightforward.
There have certainly been some signs of improvement recently - but it's sldo impossible to take any 5+ game spell of NP's time in charge and be satisfied with the return from it.
Things may be building, and I hope they are - but let's be Frank - NP's results record has been pretty woeful.
We'll be safe this season, but I don't get people optimism about the next year or 2.
When something looks good, it's generally lucky (Wiemann or semenyo hitting form)
Our continued defensive weakness is a concern tha. Really should have been addressed in a year.
I would have changed Johnson at the end of 18/19. To my mind that is the mistake. We waited too long.

17/18 we finished 11th!!
I don’t think people realise just exactly how bad that is in context.
Listening to Rob Newman talk about watching us against his then club Man City and basically saying how on earth did that team not win automatic promotion.
I’m still in on the current plan but there has to further improvement. If come October there are still the same problems with the team then you have to consider change.

Defensively worse but offensively better.
I agree with this.
My concern this year is that many goals are the result of individual error, not necessarily the system.
Yes we have got it wrong some times, but so many goals are down to just poor individual performance.

Is it worth scraping through this season only to face more of the same next season ?
We have always offered more entertainment in the third division
Ahh, good old division 3.
Our natural home. No board has ever really felt comfortable higher up

Nigel Pearson’s fault for me.
The sooner we bring in Ryan Lowe and give him 20m the better

Today's star attraction on Blackpool Central Pier is the comedy, "Bristol City's Defending." A farce that's due to run until May. A must not see.
We do concede some ridiculously soft goals.

No, if your genuine point is ‘should we have played better than we have done today’.

Indeed. The performances have been a little steadier than the results of late.
Today is the first time in a while where both performance and result are poor.
Yep, sounds poor all around today.

I would say that was a balanced comment - do you disagree ?
Come on, it’s alright.
I know you don’t like Pearson and don’t want him here.
I don’t think you’re any less of a city fan for having that opinion.
It is funny though.

I think Joe Williams is our best footballer.
Shame injuries have impacted his career with us so far.
Our best passer of the ball.
