  1. I would go for Kalas so we can give him a new song Thomas Kalas is our captain and he is amazing When he is on the pitch there is nothing that will fase him If he takes us up we will all appraise him Thomas Kalas is our captain and he is amazing dum didl um didl i
  2. Impossible situation for City (or indeed any other club) to make a decision on refund/no refund until they know when fans will be let back in to the ground. It is unreasonable to expect them to refund 14,000 season tickets at anything between £300 and £500 a time (14000 x say £350 average = nearly 5 million quid) no club could afford to pay that amount of money back. So as i said at the top it is an impossible situation to be in. My suggestion and i dont know whether City's system would be able to administer it is- Every game that a s/t holder is not allowed in to see (whethe
  3. Maybe with the current fears re revenue falls due to covid -19 due to no fans etc that the negotiating with any possible new manager is taking a lot longer than previously - which to some extent is understandable. Maybe Hughton or Cook are sticking to their guns and demanding salaries that City (and other clubs) are not prepared to pay. We were informed a couple of weeks ago that Hughton was also interested in the Watford job - well he hasn't been appointed by them either. Times are very different to normal so maybe that is the reason for these frustrating delays. Bear
  4. I haven,t ploughed through 43 pages on the subject of Dean Holden possibly being our new Head Coach, so i dont know whether this has already been muted, but how about this for an option if it was acceptable to all parties - Dean Holden as temporary HC for say 6 months, until Eddie Howe has taken his sabatical who then takes over as our Head Coach with Dean Holden as his assistant. Maybe i am being naieve but that would work for me.
  5. Webster, Brownhill, Kelly,Ayling,Pack, Flint,Tomlin, Bryan, Decordova Reid, All players either playing in the Premier league or currently involved in the Championship playoffs and all been in our team in the last 12 months ish. It shows that we can attract good players, but equally that as soon as a good offer comes along we sell them. The other thing it highlights is what a good job Lee Johnson did in terms of signing quality players, unfortunately for whatever reason he had to sell them.
  6. City have announced there could be as many as 45 job losses at Ashton gate but is this not a solution? If Korey Smith, Nicki Maenpaa and Ashley Williams are out of contract on an average championship salary of £29,000 per week i.e. £1,508,000 per annum, then not replacing just 1 of them would more than pay the salaries of the 45 people at risk. Is that a too simplistic way of looking at it.
  7. I recently posted that if Bolton were to offer Dean their managers job he should accept it, because he was likely to get sacked along with LJ and Macca, I said that with a heavy heart really because Dean is a really nice bloke, my mate and i often see the team bus arrive at away games and Dean always comes over to talk to us when we catch his eye, and actually bought us a drink in the Harvester at Bolton after one game there. He has made a difference to our performances in the 2 games so far which hopefully will continue in the next 3 games and who knows could lead to an extension of
  8. All the players played well, Baker and Kalas were immense facing up to boro's only tactic - bombard us with long throws from Shotton who for some reason COLIN took off. Assombalanga had one kick all match but he scored. On to the next one, who knows?
  9. How long would Chris Hughton be here? I bumped in to John (NTTDS) the other day and obviously our topic of conversation was who was going to be the new BCFC manager (head coach?) John made a valid point about Chris Hughton, if he was to be interested and accept the job if it was offered, how long would he be with us? With at least 3 Premier League clubs likely to sack their manager at the end of the season, wouldn,t Hughton expect to be in with a shout of one of those positions and probably wouldn't think twice about ditching us. Be careful what you wish for.
  10. Not been mentioned yet and i am not sure he was all that succesful at Man City but STUART PEARCE would certainly instill some fight in to these city players who must take a lot of the blame for the sacking of LJ. I think certainly in the 4 games we have seen on Robins TV that the players have a lot to answer for. Whether it is due to lack of fitness after lockdown, or they were simply not playing for LJ, but generally they have been very poor. We were pinning our hopes on Afobe but quite frankly he hasn,t looked like solving our scoring problem.
  11. After yesterdays disastrous performance and result lots of supporters are quite rightly questioning whether we are on the right lines with LJ as head coach, but dont forget we have a management team of 3, which to me begs the question what are the other 2 bringing to the party. It is reported that Aaron Wilbraham is recommending Dean Holden for the managers job at Bolton Wanderers and if i was Dean if it is offered i would accept it because if SL does lose his patience and pull the trigger on Lee Dean would almost certainly be out of work as well. If Dean was to get the Bolton job
  12. Who really is worried about receiving a free shirt ? There should have only been 2 options Option 1 - Donate the money to the academy and receive free streaming Option 2 - refund and no streaming. Anybody who took the refund would have to pay for the streaming if they wanted it
  13. Why would anybody who is not claiming a refund choose option 2 over option 1 ?. If you dont want a refund you would presumably choose option .1 so that the money you are forfeiting would go to the academy. What happens to the money produced by option 2 ?
  14. What are the logistics for the away teams getting to their opponents ground to play the games? No hotels so travel on the day? Is social distancing necessary on team coaches, or is that overruled by the fact that they are making contact with each other during the games. How can Sheff Wed get to ashton gate for a 12 o'clock kick off. Are teams allowed in to Wales to play either swansea or cardiff? How can City get to middlesborough for a 3 o'clock kick off. Will all the above factors have a bearing on the results with the travelling teams presumably suffering
