  1. Is it to drive the "naughty bus" leaving from the hippodrome for millwall?
  2. Saw the charlatans about 10 years ago and lead singer was balder than Aladdin then!
  3. Gary lineker told a story once that about half an hour before an England Argentina game Maradonna goes onto the pitch stands on the centre spot kicks a football straight up about 30 feet, dosent move from centre spot and volleys the ball straight back up repeating this about 6 times in his warm up until he was bored. The England team were in ore of this and tried it the next day, the whole team not managing to do one volley! Try it sometime it's virtually impossible
  4. SL cashed shares in yesterday for 170 million One trader said - this could be headed for Bristol City and a push to the prem - source evening standard
  5. saw Wayne Allison score a 2nd half hat trick at Stockport in cup Next day evening post headline was "hands off our 2 million pound wayne" was a lot of money back then!
  6. Coach and horses is best, turn right out of station, follow station round, up a hill and it's there on left. Decent burger etc, friendly and you can stand outside with no hassle There is a wetherspoon if you turn left out of station for a decent fry up.
  7. Redcliffe, I would recommend joining camra on the evening if you go then you get to walk straight in avoid ques and get free wetherspoon vouchers sent to you. Plus money off beers at some pubs throughout country.
  8. Good effort fella. It's norwich beer festival friday, good atmosphere, no trouble, very laid back and your best bet for a good cider in the city it's at Andrews hall 1 minute from centre, may see you there, coyr!
  9. I still say "kiddie" when I'm talking about an older lad / someone at football / pub people up here look at me bemused!

  11. Yes ciderhider I've done bristol Paddington (train) then national express from Victoria as always found n express a really cheap option, your looking at 5 hours most ways you travel im afraid even by car. Not to confuse but trains are running back to and from London liv street with bus replacement service from shenfield. To simplify it u would get the train from norwich, train terminates at shenfield and a bus takes you from there to london liv street, far from ideal!
  12. Sorry about late reply leader, wanted to check with my conductor mate You are correct not running through from London liverpoo l street directly there are replacement buses scheduled on that day for last I of the route He suggests kings cross to ely and change for ely to norwich. Ely is a v small station but we'll serviced. The train out of kings cross should be a greater anglia one and either a greater anglia or a east Midlands train (depending on time of day) to norwich Hope this helps bud
  13. Leader, greater anglia still telling me trains are running from london Liverpool street direct to norwich on saturdays if this helps, 1h 50mins
  14. Hi mate 3 or 4 city fans around norwich, kev from stowmarket goes to a few games, if you ever want to meet up and watch games in norwich or want someone to travel with let me know, I will probably go to millwall away. Take care bud, keep the faith!
  15. Spoke to a conductor at station today Trains are running too and from Liverpool street to norwich on Saturdays so a day return should see you through no problems (currently) If you coming back Sunday get the London bound liverpoo l st train and if there are rail works a bus replacement service takes you to London So as it stands Saturdays ok Sundays allow an hour's drinking time for connections to Paddington etc
