  1. When the chips are down, Paterson has never been a go-to man and he has shown again tonight why he was loaned out last season. Consistently inconsistent.
  2. I was surprised the midfield 3 worked so well for those first few games. Tonight was more in line with what I expected in those games in terms of midfield presence. That 3 needs looking at.
  3. That free kick summed up our performance. Woeful.
  4. And to think Fam was banned for 6 matches retrospectively for allegedly spitting at a player. Same but different? I can't remember all the details, but I'm not convinced by the FA. Again.
  5. A new structure remains plausible in my eyes. Let's say the top job was offered to DH. Whoever gets the top job decides on the coaches right? Well that's the way it was when LJ was at the club. He picked his coaches. Yet JM is sacked whilst DH is on holiday. It doesn't make sense, unless someone else is involved. Then the whole illogical fiasco would have some coherence. We'll just have to wait and see.
  6. I don't know anything about that, not to say it's not true. What I do know is that he certainly stopped playing the great football he played up until the cup games at the end of the year. He seemed uninterested hence the view thay he downed tools. That's one of my last memories of his time here unfortunately. Great player though and wish him all the best.
  7. Great post; it should be plain for all to see. We have the fortune to have an injury free Afobe for 9 games, when it seemed we would never see him again in a city shirt. At least this season. We know he plays well up front with Palmer behind for the through balls. We also know a central midfield of Massengo and Smith doesn't work. We also know our full backs are a weak link and better as wing backs with a back 3. What we see beggars belief. Only our head coach can't understand these simple concepts. Johnson has to go.
  8. Same message for me too, not only for video but audio only too. Shambles. Why change what was already working perfectly well? Thats for robinstv not Lee Johnson btw
  9. Exactly this. It would be interesting to see the correlation between number of injuries and results. I think it would absolutely show Lee Johnson is able to manage a more limited number of players better. Almost criminal he is allowed to mismanage such a large squad. If he stays, he shouldn't be allowed any more players. That's on SL.
  10. Possibly - it's always a doubt now I suppose after being out for so.long. It looked like he was trying to fill the Brownhill role. He breaks up play, he doesnt naturally do the playmaker role.
  11. Tend to agree. He tried bringing the ball too far forward and ended up losing possession on occasion.
  12. Weak link, two goals coming from our right hand side this evening. Plenty of time and space. I'm not confident with him in there. Having said that, Pereira who was brought in as an upgrade, probably isn't quite what we needed. A conundrum as you rightly say. We did have Pisano as right back with us last season. I'd say he was better than both Hunt and Pereira. But he's gone...
  13. My take on this and the principal problem for some time. Lee Johnson teams' can play great football. On top of this, Lee Johnson teams' can play terrible football. Performances are polarized. Lee Johnson doesn't understand why. Highly frustrating for us fans and explains why the forum is polarized.
  14. If we're talking this season, got to be Afobe. We were slick, dynamic and threatening. Now we're not. I'm willing to guess our top performances were the ones with said striker.
