I thought that. He looks invigorated. My theory is that he inherited such a shite show that it stressed him out. He’s looked visibly perturbed, angry, and bewildered throughout his time here. Now he’s starting to shape things how he wants it. Hence he's happier. It may or may not work for him. But I get the feeling that he’s finally got more of his tools in place. He’s no longer cleaning up someone else’s mess.

Does feel increasingly like football is now two-tier. A couple of “super clubs” dominating everything in domestic leagues (everywhere) and international football now playing by different rules to others. I can honestly say I have no intention of watching a single minute of this years WC.

I don’t want an owner who is blasé about anything to do with the club. My 35th year of following city and pouring my heard earned in. I’m not blasé about the new season. If SL is it’s time for him to piss off.

He’s the captain of the ship and if losses have occurred on his watch then he should take the wrap for it. Much of this mess is Ashton’s making and SL recruited and employed him. That’s on him. I’ve not watched the interview but if he’s genuinely said he’s ‘blasé’ about the season then it’s time he sold up and went. We don’t need an owner who is blasé about his most high profile sporting asset. And it’s actually quite demeaning to the thousands who’ve shelled out again in a huge cost of living crisis. I’m actually high blasé to his leadership and tenure at city. He’s managed to polish a turd (the ground (maybe the HPC) and hats off to him for that) but there little else to show for it. And as for concerts and all the other nonsense- if that now floats his boat then it speaks to diminished interest in city more generally.

There’s an element of truth on this. Nice guy but he just doesn’t know what he’s supposed to be. Tried to be a jack of all trade at city and he’s not. Speaks the same language wherever he goes. Just concentrate on what he’s good on. Forget the rest of the fluff. He might do alright if he focuses on his strengths.

Rangers and Celtic should never be ‘put’ in either of the leagues you mention. Start at the bottom and work their way up. They won’t ever do that so it’s a moot point. And to be honest, Celtic can piss off to the Irish league if they fancy a change. They are no way compatible with English leagues.
