  1. We have asked for more tickets that's a joke I guess as Norwich sell out every game and looking on line if tried to get a ticket in the home end I would be hard pressed to find two together, I know that if they could they would go down our end as its easier to get an away ticket than a home one !
  2. Just a little criticism about the game on Saturday and that is that we continue to play the ball in the air hoping that someone can get their head on it but when we played it on the ground surprise surprise we score a good goal. I watched the highlights on quest and it just showed how we should play as Brentford scored four all along the ground, I don't mind the odd high ball but why 99% of the time ?
  3. There i a good mixture of fans in the Dolman I sit by a bloke how is scrapping to earn enough money and every week has to work out how he is getting to the ground and two rows back from him sits former Chairman Les Kew, the one thing that they all have in common is that they love supporting Bristol City and long may it continue although I will admit with ticket prices anyone who is poor can not justify paying to watch football
  4. RIP will be clapping to remember you and other past reds.
  5. Free if you get one off the packed trains that go to and from football so that they can;'t check tickets as many know.
  6. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aaEdJVKpuD4 Big things are happening at Ashton Gate in the future,I like the idea of a hotel as there are several evening events that I would like to attend but have to drive home afterwards means no drinking which sort of spoils it.
  7. Yesterdays game was quite interesting in the formation that we played with Pack playing as an extra center back,I know that he often plays deep and doesn't venture forward much, but yesterday he stayed in the middle of a back three for the whole game only leaving that position once. In fact Kalas and Webster got forward more than he did. I assume that it was planned to give us more solidity at the back and it seemed to work so was this a master stroke by Lee Johnson or just Marlon being ultra defensive ?
  8. Wetherspoon pubs are great cheap beer and cheap food and whenever I visit a new town I visit and read all the history of the town or city which is great. Also they tend to convert old buildings just look at the commercial rooms which would still be standing empty if Tim Martin didn't step in.
  9. https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11688/11571338/championship-power-rankings-derby-countys-harry-wilson-top We do not have one player in the top 50 Championship players but Tammy is 2nd if we can take any credit for that. Just shows that we are a team without individuals, maybe in January we may sign one.
  10. Red button is a poor way of watching football no replays,no build up or half time talking, but if that's the only way that we can watch it then it's a lot better than the old days watching it on teletext !
  11. So glad that he is back on the road to recovery,I think that he is now the longest serving player so it would be great to have him back between the posts although he has competition now which he didn't have for some of the time that he was number one.
  12. He is Bristol City through and through and I would be disappointed to see him go as I have been with our last few managers, but he will get judged by results and unless he turns it around soon he will be on a very sticky wicket, losses against Ipswich and Millwall maybe the final straw.
  13. Love the Purple & Green think that it should always be our second strip, it stands out and does not clash with any other colours
  14. Added to that the most expensive tickets in UK football for away fans, total rip off !
  15. Rubbish look at the last foreign manager we had old Benny he signed loads of foreign players who were no better than English that they replaced I would much rather have players from our academy playing than loads of mercenary's.
  16. It was worse than the game on TV last night and they were non league ! I don't think that Johnson has the players to score the goals that that he lost through losing Flint, Reid and Bryan. So he has to keep more clean sheets and that seems beyond them at the moment, so we are in trouble DEEP !
  17. That's if people actually buy tickets as most passengers who get on at Worle and off at Parson Street know the trains are so packed that they can't check tickets so don't bother buying one,it's the railways own fault as if they put more carriages on then they would be able to check tickets. It happens all over the country as I know for a fact that no one gets a ticket to and from Portsmouth and Fratton on match days, the railways must be losing millions in lost fairs during the football season.
  18. The most expensive tickets in the Championship, or should I say football as the premiership have a cut off price at £30,total rip off !
  19. One good thing about the Gas being in the same division was that even if you had an average season there was always two BIG games to look forward to,although it all depended on results-loosing 4-0 at Twerton was sickening but each time be beat them, which we did most of the time, it was joyful, there are 18 year old's who have never experienced those emotions.
  20. As a lot of posts on here are complaints I would just like to praise the Bristol city ticket office, I have a friend visiting for Christmas and thought that I would get her a ticket for the Boxing day game at home to Brentford which I did online. When I got the conformation e-mail it was for the Norwich game on the 15th, I quickly rang the ticket office and explained what had happened and the bloke that answered quickly cancelled the wrong ticket and forwarded on the correct one that I wanted. Quick and efficient with a pleasant attitude I could not have asked for more WELL DONE BRISTOL CITY !
  21. Missing their goals, don't think that there is a center back who gets more goals in the Championship than Flint and Joe was always good for at least one shot a game which were usually on target and quite often went in. We don't seem to have enough goals in the team at the moment which has to be addressed soon or we may struggle

    Liam Walsh

When I have seen him play he has always been the stand out midfielder but does that fit into a team ? What bothers me is that he is never used as a substitute when things are going wrong he is the one player who can change the game, not sure what will make Lee bring him on apart from an injury crisis.
  23. https://www.oddschecker.com/football/football-specials/aston-villa/next-permanent-manager Lee Johnson is the same odds to be next Aston Villa Manager as another of our former managers
  24. Love the Purple & Lime should always be our 2nd strip
