About Fatalist

  1. Flinty

Having just seen Flint's interview, someone should tell him that "getting my head down" isn't the best game plan for a centre back! On another point, I haven't done proper research, but isn't it remarkable he doesn't just score goals, but that so many of them are with his feet, not headers. i would guess fewer than half his goals for us have been headers. How many 6 foot 6 centre backs have scored a hat-trick with his feet (v Walsall) or a tap in from a left wing cross (v Fulham) or indeed, yesterday's half-volley? Above all, it was so good to be able to relax again whenever high balls came into our box, just knowing that Flint would win it. Welcome back Aden.
  2. Under 23 v crewe

Surprised we can actually put out an U-23 team with all the players we have out on loan. I guess we can expect a few defeats? On another note, I see Dave Richards played for Crewe. Still can't get a first team game.
  3. Obscurest City Players

David Howells? Midfielder we had on loan from Spurs. Real class, but was right at the end of his career due to injuries.
  4. Left Season Cards at home

There is a sign at the ticket office which I saw but did't read carefully. It said that from a certain date around now, a fee (£5.00 ??)would be charged if you have forgotten your ticket.
  5. Jonathan Kisolokele Leko - (season long loan)

So if he plays, who makes way?
  6. Could it be that Watford play football and Millwall didn't?
  7. Bloody fantastic point!

No way Fielding was garbage. At least 3 top class stops. If you mean poor kicking, look at the much hyped Bentley,
  8. Poor team

7000 of us cared enough to turn up and had a good time. Another 1800 put in a 300 mile round trip on a Tuesday night and deserved better than what they got to see.
  9. Poor team

On the subject of "poor team", why has become fashionable for lesser clubs to pick a weakened line up when playing a club from a higher division? I can just about see the point for the better club using their squad, if they are still good enough to progress. But Plymouth yesterday were outclassed. They have just had a highly successful promotion season, a rare chance to test themselves against an old rival, a big and happy following, but they put out a side who were embarrassingly poor. Their fans highlight was singing "We've had a shot".Apparently Cambridge made 10 changes for their game against Rovers. I can't believe any player needs a rest after one league game, so why do it?
  10. Eliasson Signs!

That's going to make a transfer a bit difficult.?
  11. Marlon Pack

Thought he should have done better for their goal. Guy who scored just strolled past him and he let him go.
  12. City in Tenerife

So who are the 20 other people who made the trip, as 47 went apparently. Do we really need that many backroom staff?
  13. New Keeper needed?

I wondered why Fielding was one of 3 players to play the full 90 minutes, despite having Lukic AND O'Leary in the squad?
  14. have Bath City got rain covers,as rain is forecast all day tuesday

Yes. £8. But is it worth coming g back from Singapore for?
  15. Squad Nationalities

Being bored, I put together a team of players who have appeared for us, each from a different country. 1 Adriano Basso. -. Brazil 2 Vegard Hansen. -. Denmark 5 Tamas Vasco. -. Hungary 4 Jens Hegeler. -. Germany 3 Hordur Magnusson 6 Luke Wilshire. - Australia 7 Pertii Jantunnen. -. Finland 11 Geert Meier. -. Netherlands 8 Alvaro Saborio. -. Costa Rica 9 Milan Duric. -. Bosnia 10 Jonathan Kodjia. -. France Subs. Ivan Lukic. -. Austria Damien Stewart - Jamaica Gustav Engvall. -. Sweden Shaun Goater. -. Bermuda Greg Goodridge. -. Barbados Albert Adomah. -. Ghana Who have I missed, from a country not on my list?
