  1. Micky mouse game against Brighton. Their payer was subbed after getting a bit stroppy. Fan hanging over the tunnel gave him verbals, so player suggested meeting outside to continue conversation. Fan declined, wisely, as player was grandson of Mad Frankie Frazer.
  2. I was going to say that. Low centre of gravity and all that.
  3. Surprised by the caption saying he wore it 84 times and had 21 clean sheets.
  4. Dean Ashton on Quest queried it as well. You'd think the taker had enough advantage without having to stop as well.
  5. I always understood that players were not allowed to stop during their run up. A slow run (Jet) is fine, but players have been taking more and more liberties. Today, Ayew for Swansea definitely came to a halt a couple of steps from the ball. Is this actually a rule, and if so, how would it be penalised. Retake or disallowed?
  6. Am I right in thinking that over half the Bath starting line-up have played for us: Batten, Ball, Harley and Richards, plus the loanees Conway and Hinds? Perhaps the first two should be playing cricket (see what I did there?)
  7. So the FA accept that the player did not knowingly take a banned substance, but still give him a 2 year ban. Harsh doesn't cover it.
  8. Surely Lamela's reaction to get Martial sent off is worse than Bailey Wright at Fulham - for which he got a retrospective ban.
  9. The three teams we lost to are the top three in the table. The bottom 5 have 2 points between them. Just like the men, early days yet.
  10. What I really like about Bakinson is that he sees a pass before he gets the ball and his one touch passes are usually accurate and often forwards. All this from a basically defensive midfielder.
  11. So James Taylor will be able to tell Conway that "You've got a friend". (Sorry for another music pun).
  12. I can remember that once.
  13. Don't get all the criticism of Moore, what did he do so badly?
  14. Physical presence and passed the ball quickly, and more often than not, forwards.
  15. Didn't know he had to make the picnic lunches as well!
