Not really an exodus but a funny story from an away game at Brentford.

Think we lost 3-2 or Drew 2-2. Mate went for a piss and missed our first goal, was too slow finishing a half time pint and missed our second goal.

Same friend missed Jon Stead’s goal at home to Coventry just after half time and had to leave early and missed Bolasie and Woods goals at the death. (how bleak were those times? Old useless players and next to no excitement)

I can recall a game at Brentford where we lost 4 or 5 - 1, after making full use of the pubs around the ground pre-match, the only goal I missed through needing to take an in game pee was ours…

My memory is hazy as to our scorer or the year so it could have been Andy Cole, Nicky Maynard or some Scottish fella (Lee- something) who was supposed the next best thing but failed at City.

    Pretty much this.

I thought Bobby Madley was exceptional on Wednesday, but noticing a referee for a good performance is a rarity.

On a more usual basis, the highest compliment I can pay to a referee is that I don't really notice them. I didn't really notice much of Rebecca Welch's performance today - she was only notable because she is a woman.

I thought she was good, noticed the communication throughout, always talking to the players, rather than dictating. Thought the ref got most of the calls right, though I’d like to see the pen again.

It was a poor performance, but if you want amazing football every week, go and support Man City

Grow up. Mentioned on an earlier post that some people having a go at one particular individual was getting tiresome…. Attack the post not the poster.  Lots of people including me have been saying it was a dreadful game. Should I be going to watch Man City as well???

At least he's making the effort, unlike some.

Absolutely. I get that the original poster holds a view that some won’t like, but I’ve noticed a couple of pretty childish and pointless posts aimed at the individual already this afternoon. There’s always been a bit of it on here but recently it’s got worse. If you don’t like an individual and can’t be bothered to argue their post, then just leave their point unanswered, if your ego or immaturity does not allow you to do that then put the poster on block. Simple really and perhaps just grow up a little bit….

Makes the forum quite dull at times which is a shame as there are lots of good posters on here.

Wow. Some supporter you are. Pathetic post tbh.

Not really. You can embrace the win but still question the long term. I’ve seen enough shite under the Manning regime to still question if he’s the real deal.

From what little I saw of the game tonight (on an iPad with mates in a pub) Blackburn looked very poor. That said 5 against anyone is not a poor result in any form.

Lets see how good the manning team is 10 matches into next season before we jump up and down…

Thought Lez was a bit disrespectful to the pod with his constant starring at the phone, getting up and walking off, and showing no interest in listening when others were speaking.

Also think when Tom isn't on, everyone is pretty much singing from the same hymn sheet, so hoping the next guest will have some differing views to encourage more debate.

Personally I thought he came across as an arrogant bell end in terms of his attitude to being on. I don’t mind hearing backed up views that might differ from mine, although I stopped listening to what he was coming out with after a while. Not sure I’d rush back to listen to another episode that had him on it.

The way I saw it was that Manning could see we were playing badly and were lucky to go in at 0-0 so he hooked AM off and went to a back 5 to shut up shop and play for the point. I don't like that.

Not really, Mehmeti was not having the best game, made sense to put McCrorie on and push Sykes into a more forward position. Allowed for more pace on the counters, plus a bit more physicality to deal with Collins.

Wouldn’t argue with any of the selections and substitutions today.
