  1. I'm delighted by the recent form but reluctant to get ahead of myself. Leicester and Sunderland missed some absolute sitters and on another day we could have lost both of those games comfortably. 4 of our goals today were the result of comically bad defending, Sunday league stuff.

Cautiously moving in the right direction for me, keep this up and we can look forward to next season with a solid foundation.

Twine in at number 10 with knight in midfield has to be making a difference

Would argue James has made as much if not more difference? James, Knight and Twine is a nice midfield 3.

One thing to look for today is that I think - if I've got my maths correct - it's mathematically possible for Rotherham to be relegated today.

Their maximum points total right now is 41. If they draw today it's only 39.

Three teams above them already have 39, and none of them are playing each other today.

Rotherham have one game left against one of those three teams - Birmingham.

So, if Sheff Wed or Huddersfield beat Rotherham's result today, then Rotherham are down.

    I think.

They're down regardless if they lose, max points they can get currently is 21, lose and it becomes 18 meaning even if everyone above them loses they're still down.

Intriguing for me is that Blackburn could go down, awful form and toughest run in. Would be pleased if Blackburn and Birmingham go down.

Our trendy set have moved to Rugger where they can take their beer to their seat compare tweed caps and Barbour jackets with your mate and feel that you are just a bit better than those football people.

    Sounds quite pleasant actually...

I’d note that in most of those clips it features Jack Moylan and Joe Taylor.
Two very good players for that level.
Sometimes it’s just all about the players and their own capabilities / desire

Sounds like you're doing him a disservice a bit. They've scored 5, 6 and 5 goals in their last 3 games (including against the Gas), the manager must be doing something right!

  6. No, it's not an interview with Liam Manning.

Henrik Rydstrom has rejected the idea of positional play and embraced a more anarchic structure - winning the Swedish title with Malmo.

Quite an interesting read about a rarely utilised way of playing, probably only Malmo and Fluminense doing it currently and having considerable success.

If Dykes can keep getting called up, there is surely hope for Tommy. Not exactly blessed with talent in that area of the pitch are they.

Forwards: Che Adams (Southampton), Lyndon Dykes (QPR), Lawrence Shankland (Hearts).

He suits their one up top style much better than Conway though.

Jacob Brown and Kevin Nisbet also ahead of Conway. He's some way down the pecking order and not pulling up any trees this season in our new system so can't see it happening unfortunately.

Do you have any stats on our record with and without James? I think he's the main factor as opposed to manager..

How do you explain the god awful style of football? Is that Matty James' influence?

Are we the dullest club in the country?

Can't be bothered to read any of the replies but we've probably held that title for at least 5 years, our support/supporters have been magnificent during that time

You've clearly not seen the new season ticket video...

Turning 40 last year really put into perspective just how little City has given me over the years. Four decades of bouncing between the second and third tiers for a club our size is just so depressing. One notable cup run.

I look at fans of other clubs and I’m jealous of the journeys they have been on. Swansea made their way through the leagues and played in Europe. Luton have made it all the way from lowly divisions. Huddersfield, Blackpool, Barnsley, Bournemouth and even Swindon have tasted top flight football. Bradford, Portsmouth and Cardiff have all made it to a cup final. Some of these clubs have suffered since, but at least they’ve had genuinely exciting periods.

I actually think we must be one of the dullest clubs to support in the entire league. I think you could reasonably say that City fans of my generation have seen the least achievement against potential and expectation of ANY set of fans in the entire country. I’m really fed up with it!

Is there any club out there more dull than us when you consider size and potential?

Trust in the behaviours. Manningball will get us to the promised land.

You might be right, under GJ and Cotts it was exciting for a bit. A play off final isn't something to sniffed at, and how can you forget all the Johnstone's Paint Trophy wins!!!

This guy is easily in the top 5 all time worst players for city and if he keeps putting in the performance he is I think he could easily become top 3 worst ever 😂

Just amazed Manning thinks he's better then the kids in the 21s

Bit over the top. He's 19, has played about 40 minutes in a terrible team. Didn't he look reasonably decent one of his sub appearances?

Players like Nicky Hunt were way worse! Leeds away will haunt me for the rest of my life.

I'm just extremely angry with the people that made this farcical decision to sack Pearson for Manning.  Just so unbelievablely arrogant. If Tinnion had a hand in this then he 100% needs to go with Manning.

Possibly the worst decision the club has ever made. What a joke, so bored of this shite club.
