  1. £150 - 200k a year contract? So about the price of a decent League 2 player to pay him up and **** him off. Do it. And get rid of slippery Tinnion too. Might be enough to keep us up
  2. Echoes "I'm A football coach and so is my wife".
  3. We're now 6 points above a relegation place with games against Ipswich, West Brom and Leicester coming up soon. We don't look like we can buy a point at this moment. If things don't change we're heading for a relegation fight and I really don't fancy our chances with this manager
  4. Not just the decision but the utter bilge that Jon L and Tinnion came out with after the sacking. Neither of them can have any defence for destroying all the effort and work the Nigel Pearson did in his time here. Shameful, spineless, self serving human beings.
  5. Get rid of a manager who has cleared out a lot of dead wood, got the squad running through brick walls for each other whilst bringing on talented youngsters and then give his job to a clueless nobody. **** the Lansdowns. Shame on you Tinnion.
  6. I firmly believe that SL is in his comfort zone while we're mid-table in the championship. He gets 20k die hards at home games, sells the crown jewels every couple of seasons and hardly ever pays big bucks for a player. If he really wanted a successful club he'd get in a proven football man to sort it out. I'm thinking maybe Pearson found him out, told him a few home truths and then waited for the inevitable. And then he got in a Lee Johnson clone to work for Tinnion. Whilst I recognise that he's spent millions keeping the club going and building a new shiny stadium I'd love to see where we might have been if he'd employed people that knew how to run a football club. And not bumbled along with his son. And it was Hughton. Not Houghton
  7. Not just this game but the next 5. The 2 Welsh clubs at home, Ipswich and West Brom away and then Leicester on Good Friday. All loseable with our current form. We need at least 1 win and a draw in the games v Cardiff and Swansea as I can't see much change in the other 3. Lose 4 of these games and we could be significantly closer to the drop zone
  8. How long's a piece of string.........sorry Twine
  9. A sad, deluded ***** of a spoilt bastard
  10. Maverick. God I'd love to be known as a maverick. George Best was my first hero. Got taken to Old Trafford in 69 to watch him play. Gazza was brilliant and similarly flawed. The game is poorer without these players. Stan was a diamond

    SOD out

To be fair S'od wasn't given a great deal of time. I think he may have had personal issues and a bit of a meltdown while here and needed some time away. The work he did at Bournemouth and Doncaster was impressive and he's highly regarded in the game. Wrong club, wrong time
  12. One of the players I admired growing up. Magical, mercurial and never out of the bookies. I loved players liked Stan. Tony Currie, Duncan Mackenzie, Alan Hudson. And later Glenn Hoddle. A character an entertainer and a bloody good footballer.
  13. Bless. Someone tell him who coaches the players and picks the team. That's where the buck stops. Maybe the players have worked him out and he's lost them already.
  14. I was just about to say that it's Junior Johnson all over again. Young manager who does ok at a lower league team but completely out of his depth. Pearson was the best thing to happen at this club since Cotts. Both been there and done it and both strong men. The Lansdowns can't cope with real men
  15. The only way that Manning will get sacked is if people stop going or renewing season tickets. Lansdown doesn't care if we're a mid table side going nowhere as long as 20k plus keep turning up every home game. Be a bit different if only 12 or 14k was our average gate. It's all about the money. He cares **** all about the football
  16. And therein lies a problem Spud. If we as fans can see it an opposition manager or coach will pick a team or tactic to overcome it. And as of yet, as witnessed v QPR, we have no Plan B
  17. Don't merge it. Highlight it in capitals. The owners and his cronies are taking the p1$$
  18. We've changed our manager. We now have a young man who did ok at Milton Keynes for a while instead of a man who built a squad that went on to win the Premier League. We still play football that's not particularly easy to watch, some might say dull and predictable. We're closer in points to relegation than to promotion. We've sold our most experienced forward and replaced him with unproven youngsters, some of whom have been sent back to where we bought them from til next season. The fans are still frustrated, some are still angry and disillusioned. The board/owners appear to have written off this season but if they can sell one of the youngsters they've bought in a couple of years for £10 - 12 million plus then that's all that matters. If Groundhog Day did football clubs........
  19. But that is my point. It's all smoke and mirrors. If one of the talented youngsters we've bought gets sold for £10 million in a couple of years then it's done what they wanted.
  20. The lack of significant signings in the window is so disappointing. Players bought and loaned back til next season. Wiemann sold and no strikers brought in. No quality creative midfielders. The owners have written this season off. Hopefully we've got enough to not slide down the table. Meh........
  21. Rule number 1 if you're sat with home fans supporting the away team - keep quiet Rule number 2, if your team scores, see Rule number 1 It ain't rocket science Ah, my mistake
