Definitely a purple tinge if the above pic is anything to go by.

100% this, SL has used our club as an extension of his ego for years, crap decisions, wanting people who’re best for him and not the club. Massively over estimating his own knowledge of football and treating the clubs loyal fans as peasants who to him are contemptible. I’ve been worried about the club being bought by foreign investors who’d ruin it, but now I realise that SL and his “circle of trust” are doing a damn good job of that. People will point to his investment, but it’s his atrocious decisions that have led to him having to invest millions.

A driver who used to deliver into a place I worked years ago used to refer to his wife as the The Junkyard Dog! I asked him why one day, and he said it was because when he met her she was hornier than a Junkyard Dog!

Someone tell the whopper that we got promoted out of the old fourth division I’m 1984, even a thick Sag should be able to figure out that was 40 years ago!

RIP fellow Red.

I remember the Evening Post at the time saying how wonderful them getting the Mem was, no mention that one of this cities biggest sporting institutions was close to going out of business. My late father always hated them more than he loved City, which I found to be the case with a lot of fans from an older generation. As someone who’s been passionate about Bristol Rugby for nearly as long as I have about City, this was the moment when I really got why he despised them so much. For me, the longer they stay there and the more dilapidated it is, the better. Sanctimonius, deluded assholes.

I’d imagine that if we began to seriously challenge for promotion to the PL then that would definitely become a priority.

Fantastic away game, I think we got caught cold at the start, and to be fair the touch and finish from Bowen was exquisite. Second half we really took it to them and were full value for the draw. Awful atmosphere from the home fans, I went the last time we played them at Upton Park, and the chant of “you sold your soul for this shithole” was very apt!

I totally agree, Score Draw have a range of classic Bukta shirts for Wolves and Crystal Palace, there’s 3 great City Bukta shirts that would go down a storm.

If JL & co ever agreed to do anything like this for the Sag’s, I’d personally go down the Gate and lynch them! -

Good day out that was, a Pompey fan said to me before the game that he hoped we’d beat them so they’d sack Tony Adams! Jamie McCombe was outstanding that day quelling the threat from Peter Crouch. Here’s a video I recoded at full time. -

I’m sure Match Of The 70’s was available to buy on vhs back in the 90’s, it would be brilliant if the BBC put them on iplayer. There’s still quite a few of them on YouTube, but as they’re uploaded from old vhs tapes, the picture quality isn’t always the best.

Saw the tweet earlier, with my car insurance due for renewal on the 25th of January, I got a quote from them of £1050! Suffice to say they won’t be getting my business!

Bring back the Bristol derby? Well, for me as someone born in their supposed heartland (loads of city here, always has been) and growing up at a time when it wasn’t unusual for them to finish above us in the league and beat us, no way!

Thanks for the heads up, I think I’ll stick to my original plan.

I might drive to Westfield Stratford if the rail service is going to be dodgy, I was planning on driving to Reading then getting the Elizabeth line the rest of the way, but the TFL journey planner isn’t offering that as an option.

Nice bit of symmetry with a 3-2 win tonight!
