  1. Keeps the property prices down no doubt!
  2. It was a fortnight ago, and from what I heard his Q&A lasted a whole 15 minutes! Apparently agreed to go on the podcast Bears Beyond The Gate in the new year!
  3. My apologies, I was lazy and only read the bit about his grammar!
  4. And his voice is akin to somebody scraping their nails down a blackboard!
  5. A timely reminder that however pissed off we are with the way our clubs run, at least we’re not them!
  6. Is anyone surprised that none of them are fronting up? The only chance of hearing from anyone at the club will be via a soft interview on Robins TV/the official YouTube account. Spineless bastards.
  7. I really hope Nige goes on to write an autobiography, aside from revealing all about the shitshow here, he’s worked with some huge names in the game, Big Ron, Trevor Francis and Bryan Robson to name a few. It’ll make for a fascinating read.
  8. With the greatest of respect, his spelling and grammar don’t affect his knowledge of football. Now whether he’s been moved up to a level that doesn’t suit him is another matter. For me he’s much more valuable running the academy, indeed I wonder if his promotions over the last few years have been due to him being linked elsewhere, and SL’s promoted him to keep him at the club. I’m still seething about Nigel leaving, but am now concerned about who’ll be coming into replace him, and whether they’ll be getting a feee hand to do the job their way.
  9. Ran out of likes, so consider this reply a like!
  10. I agree that there’s little chance of him being on the radio tomorrow night, but I don’t think he’ll go quietly into the night like his predecessors have. I feel he’ll give his side of things, sooner or later.
  11. I’d love them to get Nige on, I’d love for him to give his take on the Lansdown’s and the way the clubs being run.
  12. That’s the legacy of having one man at the top of the club for over 20 years, we’ve become absolutely dependent on him that his power is absolute.
  13. Do you really believe that this decision isn’t just SL’s alone?
  14. This is not BT’s fault in any shape or form that I can see. Nige always spoke well about him in interviews and it seemed like they had a good relationship.
  15. Not going is not an option for me, I’ve already paid for my season ticket, so it doesn’t matter to the club if I go or not. Secondly, I support Bristol City, I don’t support SL, JL & co, there’ll be 11 men taking the field trying to get us 3 points, this farcical situation isn’t their fault and they need our support.
  16. Steve Lansdown’s phone later, blocking all the people on Twitter who say anything he doesn’t like! I’m already blocked!
  17. An absolute joke, I dread to think who’ll they’ll try and bring in. Someone who’s good for SL’s ego, not Bristol City Football Club no doubt.
  18. Started like an old banger on a frosty morning here.
  19. Waiting for the draw to be made, then will start booking the flights and accommodation.
  20. Gloucestershire face significant objections to the redevelopment of the County Ground. The intention was to redevelop the ground to a permanent capacity of 20,000 seats. Suffice to say the nimbys objected and the plans were revised to 7,500 permanent seats and a maximum capacity of 17,500 with temporary seating. I remember this bringing about talk of Gloucestershire moving up to Gloucester, or a new ground being built up at Filton Airfield. In the end, they’ve stayed put in facilities that are a shadow of what they could of been.
  21. Being serious, Eddie Howe would be superb as England manager, I don’t think he’ll be available the next time it comes up. I reckon Graham Potter would be a good fit. His spell at Chelsea was a disaster but he did an outstanding job at Brighton before that.
  22. Is it me, or has the presentation on Sky Sports really gone to the dogs?
  23. I remember going to the last game of the season there in 2006, it was Shaun Goatees final game and there was a neutral end of Man City fans in to see him off.
  24. I went there for City v Stoke in 2000, I was delighted that we’d got to Wembley as it closed six months after. Yes it was dilapidated, but there was still something magical about it. I remember thing how we were behind the goal where Geoff Hurst scored the fourth goal in the 1966 World Cup final. Maybe a new national stadium should have been built in the midlands and Wembley renovated and used like the Olympic Stadium in Munich is? For me the arch at the new Wembley is no where near as iconic as the twin towers were.
