Agree either King or Knight-Lebel could have played in the middle of a back three. We had nothing to lose so why not play them. With Tanner and Roberts there we had no height at all against a tall physical centre forward, and it showed.

Perfect opportunity to show the ‘pathway’ and give Knight-Lebel a start. We are going nowhere and need to give these guys a chance.
I dont feel Liam is buying into the academy here. Hes not really given any academy time to anyone ( Vyner etc dont count as they were already regulars before Manning came in ).
Think he needs to but into the club philosophy or, shit football aside, he wont last.

Shock...we get a last minute penalty 3 mins over the initial 5 mins added on and we think the ref was great !!

She was fine , would be interesting to see the handball back again to know if she got the that right. She gave quite a lot, but she was consistent for both teams

You missed their centre half going down like he was shot for 3 mins then, before he was resurrected? Then McCrorie. 10 mins was the least she shouldve played.

The Derby midfielder is out for another week or so after picking up a calf injury in training. Speaking after the win over Bristol Rovers, Warne said: "He damaged his calf in the warm-up last Tuesday. We dropped him out and he had a scan and he's going to be out for three weeks maybe. That's a big blow to the team.

Perfect. Showing his injury credentials prior to breaking down in pre-season for us so we dont see him until xmas. 😂

  4. I will renew. Been going for 30+ years despite knowing better. 😂
However, i may just hang on to nearer the deadline incase Manning gets the chop/we get relegated/BT announces Lee Johnson as the saviour with Gary Johnson as Director of Football! 😆

    Get Cotts.

Only him and Nige have ever been of the ‘aggressive’ nature of manager weve had in my lifetime. All

others have been from the cosy club or ‘nice humans’.

SL clearly doesnt like the nasty ones as theyll not be told what to do.

OK, let’s  have your predictions for our final eight games, my (optimistic thoughts) are below. If I’m right we will pick up eight more points and finish with 55 points (four less than last season.)

    Home

    Leicester L

    Blackburn D

    Huddersfield W

    Rotherham W

    Away

    Plymouth D

    Sunderland L

    Norwich L

    Stoke L

    I’d take 8 points tbf!!

we all know we wont be able to beat the team  everyone beats ( Rotherham ).
And we’ll also probably win a game we shouldnt (Sunderland).
But i’d snap your hands off for 8 points.
But i’d settle for 3, 18th place and a new manager in Summer.
Although, if they are going to keep Bernard Manning, then they have to seriously back him (£10m min) in the summer. Do i trust him with that, probably not.
Do i think £10m will buy us enough to be better than we are, no.
Do i think he can get most of these players playing better than they are now, no.
No idea on budgets but Tinman saying we cant compare to Coventry spending £23m having made £25m for Gyokeres, when weve made c£35m on our sales to Bournemouth, is a joke.
Will they give him £10m? I doubt it.

Well unfortunately for me it’s 50 years & I agree we’ve achieved nothing . But it’s all about mindset . We just coast as a club . Instead of accepting the mediocre , I’d like us as fans to really ramp up the pressure on the Lansdown’s to either shit or get off the pot .

To be fair the whole club is soft.
We all moan but then are too soft to make anything of it when it could come to protesting etc.

Its a nice place to live, a nice place to play, paying nice salaries to nice ‘humans’.

Its no wonder weve achieved sod all. BUT, im looking forward to the commemoration shirt for when we scored a goal at West Ham or something similar as we actually have sod all to commemorate!

I remember Dario Gradi complaining that Ashton Gate was intimidating and then a few years later City wanted to install a bubble machine so that when visitors WHU came out it would make them feel at home.

I remember him actually saying it was ‘unfair’ because of the difficulty of coming to AG. It couldnt be anymore the opposite now.
Welcome notes in the programme, welcome graffiti in the Atyeo, and a very welcoming soft team to hand some point to the away team too.
The sooner we have someone in charge with a bit of knowhow and fighting spirit, the better.

Yes it looks that way doesn't it.

I've asked Jerry a Follow-up on Atyeo capacity on the Ask Jerry section though is there any point given the input in recent months.

I thought that section was as slow and predictable as our football? 😂

Either way we all know it wont happen ref Atyeo.

Forget self-sufficiency at this level. Or anything close.

It's a laudable aim but pointless as things are currently constituted.

WBA gave us 2k today despite a similar capacity. Birmingham give away sides 2k.

Sell some Naming Rights or something.

Sorry the advantage of a bit of extra cash in the grand scheme set against the advantage you can hand an away side is ridiculous.

Im in favour of the ‘nice stadium’. Either that or some other soft biscuit that suits our soft, nice underbelly.
BCFC is not a cut throat forward thinking football business. Its too nice. Always has been.

We’ve got enough time to get a new manager in before Leicester
    But won’t.
And I meant manager not another bloody trainee head coach just out of head coach school.

Im not sure we have!! This lot take so bloody long to make their mind up i wouldnt bet on it! ( and they wont anyway ).
Theyre really in the sh1t with this one with the way it was done and how things were said. JL has dug a very deep hole and in my mind will be throwing Tinnion into it first as the scapegoat.
However, as the BCFC ‘cosy club’ is still going strong, its even more likely that Manning does go and BT is given the reigns again. 😂😂😂 imagine that!

Either way, if theyd have given Pearson the inkling of some £ and a bigger budget as they have for Liam, then i just dont think we’d have been in this mess.
Pearson was no messiah, but he sorted the cosy club out, only for the cosy club to return and sh1t on him.
    Bad times.  🙄

We’ve been losing a six figure sum every week for years (transfer profits notwithstanding), so are we really in a position to turn down an extra thousand or more away fans by restricting away sales to 2,000? Not every team will bring more than 2k but some do. And it’s not as if we’ve got an equivalent number of home fans unable to get tickets every week.

1000 x £37? Multiplied by at tops 10 teams bringing more than 2k, so around £350-400k per season given up.
A small amount to take away the considered ‘advantage’ that a full away end gives.
SL has wasted a considerable larger sum on gardening leave for several managers down the years!

I've always thought there should be an element of reciprocation however I like your thinking.

(FA Cup is more problematic but League I totally agree).

We need to wake up, sharpen up. Etc

Unsure how big the segregation would need to be but yeah this I like.

Segregation is the joke of this though!! Look at Anfield, Etihad etc. barely 2 rows of seats for segregation. But nice old BCFC cant even let us in the same stand, nor control fans from Atyeo versus Dolman when they are segregated ( trouble v Swansea etc previously ).
Pearson called the club out for being too nice and sorted it, for the nice Lansdowns to have a wobble and not like being called out by Nige publicly, to go back to mr nice manning, completely undoing all of Nige’s work.
    An absolute shambles.
But yes, i think Atyeo holds approx 4200, so we basically give 2000, segregate around 1000 to leave us 1200. It also then puts away fans not directly behind the goal, also taking away the ‘advantage’ everyone talks about, let alone there being over 1000 less away fans too.

Provided neither go up or down.

Give WBA and Birmingham for that matter the same as they gave us.

Plus any other tossers who short change us.

Absolutely. 2k max and put 1200 of us in the corner.

But, because BCFC is and always will be too ‘nice’ ( Pearson had this spot on the minute he came in), it wont happen.

The matchday experience is about the club taking customers’ money and not anything at all about making the place hard to go to, or difficult, or nasty.

2k max to any away team going forward.

But we have as much chance of that happening as Mr Manning having a plan b!
