For those that don't watch it, it is filmed in Bristol and is about the antics of college kids. In the last series they had a Vicky Pollard type girl wearing a City shirt briefly in one episode. Last night they had a new girl character being picked up by her Bristol Rovers playing boyfriend, but they didn't exactly paint a great picture of him or them. - He was driving a yellow convertible Megane with Rovers badge on the bonnet and his name and club on the side - He was very proud of his motor! - He was thick as s**t and made out to be some great footballer only for his girlfriend to later tell some one she was going out with a Rovers reserve player It was a really good ironic perception of rovers players being thick and not very good and the club being cheap. bh red Posted January 24, 2009 Report Share Posted January 24, 2009 did find it funny that both in skins and the film hot fuzz that rovers and their fans are shown as being "a bit slow" and "stupid" no doubt though rovers fans will see it as a compliment that they are on tv and the fact they are being taken the piss out of will go straight over their heads Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
