Nugget
Transfer deadline day is 5pm on Tuesday, September 1st and the manager was asked whether any more business would be done at Ashton Gate. "I'm not sure," he replied. "It's late in day, but often things happen late. We've got a couple of enquiries out there which could come to fruition. "We'll Wait and see but it would be great to add to squad at this time because we do need players." Any ideas who the enquiries could be, perhaps Quincy, replacement for Velicka or a GK? Bris Red
Would be interesting to see how the trialist are getting on, the fact that Johnson says we have enquirys ''out there'' would suggest its somebody from another club and not one of the trialists.... Either way a winger is a must IMO.
Admin Ian M Posted August 30, 2009 Admin Report Share Posted August 30, 2009 He also said something along the lines of signing players with the start we've made is the perfect time to do so. Pretty certain he wants new players, just got to wait to see if he's successful now.

Yeah agree with that, players that he may of enquired about a while ago may have said let's see where you are after a few games, and to beat a former Premier League team right by transfer window can only help!
