Nugget Posted October 15, 2011 Report Share Posted October 15, 2011 I like a few others on here had only heard of McInnes when I saw that he was linked to the club on the initial odds. The one thing that I don't understand is how from the start he was pretty much linked as a leading candidate. You get your normal pool of managers out of work when there is a vacancy, but the McInnes one is out of that pool and makes me think that he has been the number 1 target from the start. Perhaps the interview process for others has been a clever tactic by the board to shadow this and get a preferred backup in the event they can't agree a deal with St Johnstone - just a theory. Anyhow reading the interview that was posted on another thread was very inspirational, so you can only imagine the impact he would have on the players. I hope he gets the job.
