hinsleburg
I thought he had a good game today after illness/out of favour? Understandably looked a little rusty and should've stopped the cross for the 2nd goal but I thought the defence looked more solid with him at RB and Foster at Lb. TRL
It is another instance of not having a player playing in their correct position. I think this could one of the underlying problems with our team Left back Mcgivern really a centre back, Nyantanga a centre back Fontaine a centre back, Foster a right winger. Mcallister a left back Right back Spence a centre back, Skuse a utility player, Carey a centre back, Foster a right winger So we have 1 specialist left back, no specialist right back, ans our specialist left back has played a handful of games this season. No wonder we have defensive problems
Frenchay Red
He was very ordinary at best. Looked slow and not too interested. How can we look more solid when shipping 3 at home, and I think he was at fault for at least one of them. Ribs is a far better player, so if he is fit and can keep the injuries at bay get him back, pronto!
Red-Robbo
I thought he looked alright given the lack of game time he's had this season, put the odd very good pass in. For those saying the defence were at fault for the last two goals - where was the midfield? We didn't have one - especially after Davies went off. The defence had multiple players running unimpeded at them for the last third of the match.
mcbcfc
Thought he was awful, caught in the wrong positions on numerous occasions, didn't stop the crosses for their goals, everytime he got forward his crossing was pathetic.
Lrrr
Thought he had a decent enough game considering what was going on around him and how little he has played. Looped around Albert well a few times, few good balls into guys infront of him, relitively solid in his tackling, couple of incidents just stand out such as not blocking the cross. Happy to have him at RB again next week.

Betelgeuse
I thought he was average at best in the first half then got worse as the game went on. The same can be said for most of the team though. Only Stead and Davis would have 7 ratings from me, the rest were all 5's and 6's at best. Super
Very good?? He was shocking at best. His feeble effort to stop the cross for the second goal summed it up. No surprise he has been left out on that showing.
Lordofthebling
Kept passing it to their players and I'm sure it was him who took a lazy throw in and threw it right at the feet of Southern... Unacceptable. Looked as if he couldn't care.

wayne allisons tongues
Didn't go, but do think Albert is the problem. Whoever plays rb looks poor and is always over ran. Maybe drop Albert and play a midfielder there who will track back.
notsobigfatdave
If Spence was any good he would be playing for the Hammers and holding down a FT place..end of. The Hammers did a great bit of business palming him off on City to pay his contract. However of what Ive seen of Foster to date ( hopefully he will improve but he looks limited) Carey, Skuse, Spence, Wilson, Edwards and Ribeiro could fill the RB position and play equally as well. redfred
Spence had the positional sense of Louis Carey when he first played right back. The amount of times he drifted in field leaving acres and a man behind him when Blackpool attacked down the right was incredible and they should have taken advantage of that on at least three occasions that I can remember. In fact I was sat at the back of the Dolman, but I reckon I was closer to their left midfielder than Spence was most of the time!

Mcgivern and McAllister are LB's Foster and Spence are RB's We have players that can adequately fill the roles if needed. Exactly what's needed in this division because we don't have the power of top premier league clubs that can afford 2/3 class players for every position. Glad you know me well enough to call me a idiot, my missus took 3 years to find that out. Foster is a right winger who has moved back to play left and right back, check for yourself on the Aberdeen site. Mcgivern is a left sided centre back according to man city fans. Spence in his own words is a centre back who can play right back. And I said McAllister was a left back. Sleepy1968
Spence in his own words is a centre back who can play right back. Since I've never seen Spence play centre back, I'll defer comment on the first part of the statement, but I reckon at 18 stone plus and well past my prime (if I ever had one) and with no left foot, I'd fancy my chances playing left wing against him. Mcgivern is a left sided centre back according to man city fans. Glad we signed him then, we only have two of those on our books.... Weird then that in his 5 appearances for Palace this season where did he play? Yes, Left back. In his previous loan spells at Leicester and Walsall? Left back, His first games on loan at Morecambe? Yes, left back again. Surely his international appearances for Northern Ireland will be in his "best position", then? No, amazingly they've all been at left back, too, sort of makes you think that as 7 managers so far have picked him there that he might be a left back... Correctemundo! Foster is actually better at LB I think, but as a player who is genuinely two-footed can play either side. I think he's proving to be a good capture.
