G Block
Now that is what you call a pre-season friendly whether they will field a first team side or not is another matter. http://www.afcb.co.uk/news/article/2013-07-02-cherries-to-host-real-madrid-890863.aspx Will be interesting how many tickets they will sell considering how much they are charging... DancinDannyD
I think AFC Bournemouth have trumped everyone with this one ... http://www.afcb.co.uk/news/article/2013-07-02-cherries-to-host-real-madrid-890863.aspx

David Brent
£60! Is that a record for a friendly?
BS15_RED
Just saw that on the other thread, absolutely outrageous for a friendly, no matter who the opposition are.
DancinDannyD
Puts the £60! Is that a record for a friendly? Puts the £16 v Rangers into perspective! I guess if I was a Cherries fan I'd be happy to pay £60 for a 'once in a lifetime' opportunity to watch my team play Real Madrid. I would also reckon the Real fee would account for most of the price increase!
screech
I hope it bites them on the arse. Disgusting prices for a friendly.

DancinDannyD
Just guessing but I reckon the Madrid fee will be pretty large, would probably be loss-making at normal prices?
'Orns
Just guessing but I reckon the Madrid fee will be pretty large, would probably be loss-making at normal prices? Then what is the point exactly? Must be a Madrid 'B' team as well? Imagine this place if Pitman nets a hat trick against that lot though.....melt down! Lrrr
Ridiculous how much those tickets cost! I could understand £30 at most considering who the opposition are and even then for ST holder to be a bit cheaper.

westonred
Its more than likely a Real Madrid 11 so tea lady, turnstyle attendants and u18's certainly a rip off at 60 quid
You Do The Dziekanowski
They could have a written agreement like Shrewsbury? vs Galatasary, Where there so called big name players are to play 45 minutes in the game
Gazred
You wouldn't normally pay £60 to see Real in Madrid, let alone a pre season run out against Bournemouth!

chalky
Just saw this on sky sports news with the presenter questioning the chairman. 60 pound is outrageous, if this was a European game I would have a strong mind to refuse to pay that price (and would definitely not pay half that to watch City vs Madrid in a pre-season friendly!) - how the chairman tried to justify it I will never know and I hope it doesn't sell out. Does put 16 quid against Rangers into perspective.
Super
They play Galatasary the next day so will be the B team. Rip off.

Eco
Bournemouth fairly affluent so don't suppose they'll have trouble selling tickets.
Randy Marsh
I was surprised Ashton & Backwell didn't try and pull something like this. You couldn't blame them charging £60 for the visit of the Giants of South West football, still would have sold out.

You couldn't blame them charging £60 for the visit of the Giants of South West football, still would have sold out. True but would Ashton & Backwell fans now want a refund after hearing star player Lewin Nyatanga has left the City?
Kibs
What an absolute disgrace they are. "We see the fixture as a well earned gift to our fans for their unwavering dedication to AFC Bournemouth" And then you charge them £60 for the privilege. Shocking.
